Phonzy kenysl Sharing: I have few mice, keyboards and matte surface items that become sticky after a year or two of use.
Some of them just become sticky after some time in storage. This post has been edited by alexei: Apr 26 2015, 04:12 PM |

Can someone explain to me about the soft or hard mousepads? What is the difference and which would be better? Also read that the g502 is supposedly paired with logitech's own mousepad. Any truth in this or just marketing?

From my experience and research, soft mousepads are for those using lower DPI and Hard mousepads are for the higher DPI. I am not really sure why is that so but I myself prefer the hard mousepad for my mouse since I use 4000DPI.I am also using the G502. And I use it with Steelseries 4HD. No problem so far. In the Logitech Software, there is an option to 'tune' your surface. It will readjust the sensor's settings and tracking to suit your surface. The best mouse I've ever used. |

QUOTE(organizer @ Apr 28 2015, 01:51 PM) I only have G502, the best optical sensor so far, very accurate.I have see G402 review, the accelerator seems to be working pretty well despite the inferior optical sensor, the accelerator keep it up quite smoothly, so I think both are great mouse. The only complaints for my G502 is the mouse feet at the middle which tend to peel off after some light use, I don't use it heavily like some FPS hardcore, mostly light games and little less intensive FPS, it's being reported many times on many forums. I'm not too sure about G402 but you may google a bit with keywords such as "G402 problem", "G402 issue", etc. |

I am not really sure why is that so but I myself prefer the hard mousepad for my mouse since I use 4000DPI. It's all on personal preference , though soft mousepads depending on which brands , but here widely available are Qck and Goliathus , I got both , the Qck has slightly more friction compared to the Goliathus Speed edition. Do note that , I came from having used a hard mousepad for at least 5 years and I can say that it is a lot more slippery compared to cloth mousepads. I am also using the G502. And I use it with Steelseries 4HD. No problem so far. In the Logitech Software, there is an option to 'tune' your surface. It will readjust the sensor's settings and tracking to suit your surface. The best mouse I've ever used. If you ask me , I would choose the clothpad anytime any day , since I need the extra friction for the precise shot in FPS games. If you don't play hardcore FPS games , then get whichever you prefer i guess. There are a lot of choices to choose from. |

QUOTE(yang90 @ May 2 2015, 02:28 PM) It has one of the highly regarded best sensors currently available. It also has RGB LEDs if you are in that sorta thing and also it's light , helps if you're a low sensitivity fps player. The shape is a bit odd though , havent held one before so I can't comment on how comfortable it'll be. |
