ermm...it also looks like a fin rot, if is so, last time when my betta having fin rot, i tried to cut those infected part, & the betta survive

if u want quality bettas, i wouldn't recommend u to buy them from pet shops....most of the time petshops' bettas carry crappy genes....i know..i supplied quite a few of crappy ones in the past

Added on June 25, 2008, 11:13 pmi have never encountered fin rot where the fin turns black....so i cannot confirm that it's fin rot...anyway, melafix is the best solution for fin rot...apart from being a 'barber' for ur fish

btw, today just adopted 2 male & 1 female HMPK from my fren. But the male seems very shy & scare...not like those betta i bought b4, anyway to train them to be more aggresive ? i tried to using mirror, but it avoiding it

Try isolating the shy/scared betta for a week or so. Don't let it see any other betta. It should start getting territorial after being isolated

oh...ic, will try that next time.

Yesterday i put some ketapang leave into the betta tank, suddenly today i saw it doesnt feel afraid oredi ....

btw...how to train betta to eat those betta pallet , the betta should be around only 4months. Cause doesnt want to use the frozen worm, sometimes it makes the water dirty fast

nothing much to train really....just stop feeding frozen worms and just put in pellets...sooner or later the betta will eat the pellet

the 2nd betta water maybe got a lil problem...coz the betta's fins are not fully open(could be caused by poor water condition)

ooo... i think maybe because i campur the old water from the pack when my fren gave it to me.. will do a full water changes.

is it ok if i change the water after 1 or 2 days? cause i yesterday only bring it back.. i scare it still in shock, if i would do a water change now

dude...u must never use the water packed along with the fish....must always use fresh water/conditioned water.

aiskk.... i thought mix a bit of the water from packed along will let it to be more adjustable with mine water.
Nvm, i think i'll do another round of water changes. Anyway quite happy to see that it flare just now.

If fin din open full mean water gt problem? O.O

Just now read an article. it mention that if a betta didnt open fin, which means either water is dirty/problem, or the betta is afraid or scare.
