maxThanks for your intro and sharing here. Indeed is a good service, less and less people willing to do it now. Most important reason for me not to do it now, is not to destroy the stock headlamps.

sure. no problem..

for big size H4 headlamp like exora, vios, city and others, no extensive mod required.
it can just 'PnP' into the headlamp.

Huh? PnP the whole projector into stock headlamp?!

keong5661that's the price of the front assembly, that holds the bracket... but, still, a bit expensive.

Raya menjelang, many car dealers giving special.

Few random updates:
- Chassis number is also printed on RSH of windshield.
- My EB L/100km is not accurate, vs calculation of actual petrol and distance travelled.
- Opened up the center console, noticed the sponge underneath the dashboard starting to come off. Will ask for inspection, and if covered under warranty. The sponge is for dashboard heat and noise insulation, making it sound more solid and less plasticky.

No prob bro.its just small thing.how about now?should be OK rite

Just sharing driving exp with my eb
Either signal or high beam
Sometime some people don't give a damn when I stay behind their vehicle nearly 30secs at right lane.but of course at good n acknowlege distance..after I overtake then they realize they can't catchup this Godzillaeb. Some driver even try to cucuk..but sorry guys I already mod my eb.but u may try..just alert when I brake.coz a lot of slow n unpredictable driver in front.cheers.. n happy driving smile.gif no accident pls n drive safely

Hehe, appreciate it. My browsers thank you.

I don't know what to think about EB, really, as I haven't been in a different car and driving in front or behind one.
Driving it myself though, is a different story, similar to yours. It feels good, for several reasons:
- Malaysian car, though some would argue it contains some foreign DNA in it.
- We chose it over some other Japanese/Conti MPVs, which would mean settling for mediocrity, or costing twice as much with little to gain.
- Happy passengers...

Random updates:
- My EB has a long mark on its side, now, as the otherdriver mistaken the turning radius and decided to test its hardness against a guard rail.
- Proton SC Penang quote RM1k for 1 door and the adjacent rear panel fixed up. I think its overpriced.
- Considered door-reskinning, but it requires more $$. Cons to door skinning may include poor rust-proofing at the joint, and vibration/noise. Anyone with experience?

i found out that my engine sound is quite loud.
especially when open up bonnet.
how is urs guy?

Yes, got knock sensor.
Knocking and loud engine sound do not correlate. Can you elaborate more on what sound you hear?

Hello everyone. I am planning to get a new Exora Bold for the upcoming Raya.

Which promotion shoud I go?
A) 2014 model, RM2500 discount, FREE 3 YEARS service
B) 2013 model, RM6000 discount, BUT NO FREE service
*
2014, and ask for more discount. Don't take free gifts. Keep the stock ECOTINT.
Make sure 2014 model means the car will come with brake booster and CVT3+ (with hill start assist).

I saw an ad online offering 2013 stock. But if 2014 comes with CTV3+ and brake booster, that is better to me.

Free service means for labour only or together with consumable parts?
*
AFAIK, labor only. Sometimes OF, too.

sharipdhol13 Is it leaking water for the headlamps and LED failure for the tail lamps? I heard, for tail LED, black PCB has the problem, and white PCB is the fixed one...

Care to explain more on ABS sensor and front disk brake?

muhammad_azadAs previous reported, you get a bunch of service vouchers, and only mineral oil can fit into that budget. Total vouchers is valued at RM945. Thanks to tst71 for that valuable information. Nothing to be disappointed about, if you compare to the owners in the last two years.

luckykid5Most of the time, people report problems with their car, and less on satisfaction. Few of us here express satisfaction with our rides, and we can only do it once, or twice. But, the same problems will be reported by different users over and over again. Check out other threads like Mazda, Toyota, Nissan and Honda, you'll see problems with their SC and QC. So, it is up to you to interpret the situation.

I am not pro-P1 or P2, just that I own their cars.

Soundproof engine bay needs to be done at the car firewall, everything else is pointless. Next is wheel well...

Question: How many Proton stickers does your car have, on the rear left window? It says PDI Passed. I noticed some cars have two of them. Mine has 1.

Sharing my thoughts on turbo engine and engine oil:
- Not necessary that turbo engine will shorten the lifespan of engine oil. It is a wrong perception. The reason that engine can shorten EO's life, is its poor design. Poor design in the sense that it has poor oil flow and oil cooling solution etc.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

- The poor design, can cause fresh EO to sludge after just 1 time drive, because it can trap a small amount of EO, and cook it under high temperature. No need to wait until service interval the EO already dead.
- If CFE engine needs new EO every 5000km, let's compare to cars like Ferrari (3000-6000 miles), turbo diesel trucks (15000~40000 miles), etc etc. If EB owners spend more money changing EO than Ferrari owners, that's a shame.

Different sites label the BAX2 tyre differently:
Summer Touring : UK Site
High Performance: GT Radial AUS
All condition: GT Radial Malaysia

Good review site: Tiretest
BAX2 - 3.5 star. Above average wet grip.
Achilles ATR sport - 3.5 star. Slightly better, if not for a 1-star rating by a reviewer.
Toyo C1S (Proxxes) - 4 star.

I think, among those 3.5~4 star rating tyres, the decision factor for me would be price.

Rename will not work. Treat it like 5 year old model media player - divx, xvid, mpg etc can work. RMVB not sure. MKV, MP4 sure cannot.
