This spec can last until the first snapdragon 805 or 808 smartphone comes out only. Calling it the flagship killer for the whole of 2014.seems a bit premature.

I hope we can see this phone here in malaysia before note 4 is out. Warranty carried by Oppo malaysia?

well, they claim they'll be the 2014 flagship killer... so let's see how true.

* LG G3 Pro (i think that's the name)

* whatever-SONY-is-cooking

but can't just compare pure specs. there's also the price.

warranty... according to website, is ship back to nearest OnePlus warehouse -- three planned: One in USA, One in Europe and One in Asia.. exact details on how to claim warranty, etc, no idea yet.

i'm guessing there's a toll-free line we can call. and after troubleshooting and confirmed defective, courier back to their warehouse (they did say they will bear the shipping cost). but how will it work, how long, etc... really no idea yet.

as to how they are related to OPPO... well, some say they are 100% owned. but this one, pending official statement by either OnePlus or OPPO.

however, what is officially made known is that they use OPPO manufacturing facilities.

Can forget about Sony. Z2 also not out yet and even if Z3 is announced, it's going to be at least 2015 before it reaches our shore based on their history.

well, OnePlus are open about everything and encourage the community to build ROMS, etc... it depends on how many ppl can convince the rom cooks to bake something. however, with the current stock issues... don't think there's a lot of OnePlus One to go around... *sigh*

Just wondering why anyone would smash their phone in order to get a 1+ for 1 dollar.

Lets say i have a working sony Z1. It is at least worth Rm1400 if i sell it off today. I smash it. Damage my phone and warranty.I get a rm976 phone for rm3.5.

Everyone will call me bodoh by then.

that's what you get if you want to be first 100 and additional invites for others.

Sometimes , 1st to market has its advantages . Using S5 now. Not the best ,wanted a m8 but S5 is the only option in the market right now. Grey imports not withstanding.

Samsung S3 is good to smash for the One plus 1.

i didn't really find out more about this contest as i am not too keen on it (after looking at the list).
