QUOTE(mydragoon @ Apr 24 2014, 10:55 AM) From my observations this is a real corrupted China man company lolThey shot themselves in the foot by making false claims, in return have lost respect. Now everytime I see someone holding the phone I'll think of 'a company founded on lies'. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 24 2014, 11:07 AM |

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 24 2014, 11:06 AM) u ask them what is their standard 5" phone la the fact is, who says a 5" screen phone can't be big? any rules and regulations saying a 5" phone must not be bigger than 145mmx75mmx9mm? u can make a 5" screen phone with a dimension of 160mmx80mmx10mm... at the end, just a matter of whether anyone wants to buy that "brick" phone or not |

QUOTE(ckchan @ Apr 24 2014, 10:59 AM) haha... y ask me to explain? ask oneplus la ya... that's why i mentioned in the official forum... maybe they use a 5" phone with 10cm bezel as benchmark... :Sbut my opinion, again, that line said a 5" phone. not z1. maybe their their standard of a 5" phone is just different? anyway, from engadget... seems like china version comes with Color OS instead. so if want CM 11s, need to flash. see: http://www.engadget.com/2014/04/23/oneplus...-lau-interview/ |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Apr 24 2014, 09:58 AM) well, believe or not... that's another thing. but based on that quote (official post by OnePlus), it would seem they did mislead the people... no wonder got any ppl in the forum. I would say OPO has made it if say, comparing to the Z1. About the same width, only 9mm longer than Z1 to fit in that 0.5". What if they use LG G2, then I would say the OPO simply much wider/longer for the additional 0.3". So I find nothing wrong with their marketing strategy, just that we misinterpret it when we saw something better out there.and actually, i recall in the forum... many started doing renders... taking the Z1 size and then doing renders based on whatever information was available at that time. it is actually possible, you'd get very small bezels on all sized. but i recall... it is possible (or maybe just slightly longer than Z1 -- too lazy to look back at the forum... so messy now) Let's be fair, compare to what they've shown. Yes, they could squeeze a bit more provided the buttons are not there. The size of LG G2 anyone? I LIKE THAT TOO! But like we said, its hard to please everyone, some like the capacitive buttons, but I don't like it as well as I'm use to Nexus 4 already. QUOTE(Someonesim @ Apr 24 2014, 10:02 AM) If you're participate a lot in their forum, there's so many fans demanding this and that, keep quoting #NeverSettle I guess the SD card lays some problems somewhere, some instability and performance degrade when certain apps goes into it. For some, they just store videos/photos/music, then its fine. When 64Gb is still not enough for most, complains will still there when 500Gb phones surface. Believe it, human will #NeverSettle, they just demand for more. Features like SD card slot, wireless charging, rapid charge tech etc had been raised and keep quoting #NeverSettle, but different person with different requirement, surely cant satisfy everyone. Wireless charging is still immature, I do have a LG wireless charger as dust keeper. Nothing beats cable. The only mistake is, #NeverSettle, the double-edge sword. |

I'm using a 16GB Nexus 5 and still there's like 6-7GB of extra space USB 3.0- Apart from a possible faster charging rate, I don't really see a need for myself because I seldom transfer media Wireless charging- A good thing to have but not a must! QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 24 2014, 12:02 PM) OIS- Quite important I guess. OIS is for both photo and video right? It has IS but i guess you get some you lose some. Afterall a phone's camera is not to be treated like an actual camera but rather something you whip out and snap a photo at your convenience. Nowadays people are demanding tad too much out of their smartphones, expecting to be as good as an actual DSLR whilst hoping it will not be an overkill in price. Myself for one is fine without the OIS. The camera on the phone is something for me to quickly take out snap a simple but good enough photo without having the hassle of bringing along an actual camera - unless i am planning to take actual good photos then i'll bring along the camera MicroSD- Can't be bothered. I'm using a 16GB Nexus 5 and still there's like 6-7GB of extra space USB 3.0- Apart from a possible faster charging rate, I don't really see a need for myself because I seldom transfer media Wireless charging- A good thing to have but not a must! A good OIS should be hardware based, therefore everything you capture through your camera lens (both stills and video) will be complimented with OIS for additional stabilisation.MicroSD- Can't be bothered.
