If they do add the microSD expansion slot, i am sure you won't be getting the price they are putting out :/

i think i'm still gonna take find7/7a over this phone.

removable battery
microsd slot
superzoom
superfast charging
pulsed notification light
faster availability, not invites
trusted company vs startup company
service center in malaysia for warranty/repair purposes
*
Everything you listed is still all based on personal preference. By no means i am saying what you say is wrong. Nowadays phones are always coming it out stuffs with almost similar features. I like the design philosophy on both of it but i guess i am leaning towards the one plus due to pricing mostly.

As for the being a start up company, it is being started by an ex Oppo VP and i read somewhere that both of them have the same financial backer.

Seriously how much could a card reader cost. RM 10?

Well i guess you have to put this one up to OnePlus to find out why they do not include an expandable storage tongue.gif

I store lots of photos and video. also got a few big games. then can record 4k video... heh heh... but no player...

anyway, not water resistant. they explained it won't look as nice if they had to cover up a lot more. but who knows.. maybe OnePlus Two?

still... they said only 1 phone this year.

invite system... no one knows yet. but they said we can win invites from FB, forum, Twitter and Google+. only thing... I suspect they limit and give to only launch country. so pandai2 when create your account on their site.
*
If its not water resistant, the teaser video is rather misleading since it shows water was dripping down on it.

much more than that.. also much taller.. dissapointed that actual phone size isn't as advertised. In fact it's even larger than the Find 7. If they didn't come out with that teaser it would have been more honest.

Right now at the OPO forums, everyone is flaming on this point already. Can feel the heavy disappointments in there.

Yes because honesty is very important in business, if the company lies to you on the 1st day of launch, it's not a good sign.
*
Yeah that is definitely true especially as a brand new company that is just starting up but nonetheless there will be still be sales going in as much as you can see to some response in this thread which speaks of its own. It is a tad big for my taste but the price itself is something that is hard to put it aside especially with the specs it's boasting. I would still wait for slightly longer to hear more feedbacks from early adopters to see if theres any major issues. Plus wouldn't go as far as smashing my phone to just get one and even that does not guarantee in getting an invite lol

yes, and this is one of the comment -

No innovative design, no revolutionary features, no SD slot, no mistery tech, no fast or wireless charging, no removable battery, no good availability, no shipping fees considered, thicker, wider, longer than adverticed, no invites yet, no sales yet, no back cases yet, no secrecy, no respect, no honesty, no commercial fair play, etc, etc, etc...

They told me to NEVER SETTLE!!!... and that is precisely what I'm doing, even with them.
*
Yup. I've read that. In my opinion One Plus can be said being a little overconfident at their end by doing the marketing hype, misleading teaser, the smashing phone stunt as well as the nonchalant comparison with other manufacturers but they can be forgiven because they are new - despite the person behind the company was a VP at OPPO. Nonetheless they did deliver in certain aspects and the price, as i would emphasize it like a broken record, is an immediate killer especially for today's market for phones - or phablet. Now all we can wait is a proper review of the phone itself to see if it really justifies for a purchase.

OIS- Quite important I guess. OIS is for both photo and video right?

MicroSD- Can't be bothered. I'm using a 16GB Nexus 5 and still there's like 6-7GB of extra space

USB 3.0- Apart from a possible faster charging rate, I don't really see a need for myself because I seldom transfer media tongue.gif

Wireless charging- A good thing to have but not a must! biggrin.gif

Anyhow, this phone is an absolute steal deal smile.gif
*
It has IS but i guess you get some you lose some. Afterall a phone's camera is not to be treated like an actual camera but rather something you whip out and snap a photo at your convenience. Nowadays people are demanding tad too much out of their smartphones, expecting to be as good as an actual DSLR whilst hoping it will not be an overkill in price. Myself for one is fine without the OIS. The camera on the phone is something for me to quickly take out snap a simple but good enough photo without having the hassle of bringing along an actual camera - unless i am planning to take actual good photos then i'll bring along the camera nod.gif

for me... my point is... the did mislead coz they indicated 5.5" fit into 5". but yes, they never said which 5" phone. for all, it could be some weird 5" screen in a tablet body.

anyway, its not that i'm super upset or anything, just that... that is why many are calling them liars in the forum. and i can see why.
*
I guess this can be looked at in many ways. Yes they did mislead people and they did not come clean from it but i believe they probably have their reason for doing so. As i posted back earlier, they are biting more than can chew but most new companies will make some mistakes and they will definitely learn from it. I won't say they will go down just for a misinformed or misleading on just the size of the phone.

In another way, they did deliver a phone to market where people want a good top spec phone with an attractive to boot. Right now all we can do is just wait for a full review of the phone. I would like to get the phone, i'll get used to the size anyways. Right now just wait and see if anyone wants to bring in the phone tongue.gif

Can't find a source but DialogHub dropped it to RM1,279 and teramac dropped it to rm1280 and rm1580 for 16gb and 64gb respectively.

Doesnt matter honestly as long as more users get it and OnePlus doesn't go bankrupt  tongue.gif

Are you sure he has 64gb?

waaaaa.

Wait wait wait.

I going Taiwan on the 22.7, hope to get it before that.

or not find there, if higher than 1.1k / 1.3k, I better buy from direct D, RM1239

Your best chance is to be active in the OPO forums rather than here. Furthermore i was thinking, correct me if im wrong but if you get an invite and do get the phone, wouldn't you still be paying roughly about the same here since i've read the OPO forums that if including SIRIM tax would likely be amounted to around the same price here.
