Oh yeah.. I forgot to turn that off and now i'm downloading denim.
I was thinking of doing that 2 days ago.. Guess I forgot

Everything is pretty smooth.
I notice that the performance in terms of speed is definitely better than Cyan.
Really smooth, buttery smooth

ok when disable preview for developers the phone says it's Denim, if enable it's Cyan...

yes, cam startup is now faster. focus haven try.


PD is for some who want Cyan update, with Denim we can ditch PD and now wait for 10.

yes. disabling your PD for denim, just let it update .. checking for update might take some time aprox 15min, only then "installation ready" will popup.

How to disable DP?

done update.. os and firmware version was correct...got the denim page too..but gatal switch on back the PD again afterwards...return to cyan page back..but os and firmware number remains..

Finally, updated to Denim. Whole night's dload and installation went smooth. Woke up this morning to a "Welcome to Lumia Denim" notification

First thing I did was, charge the battery And honestly, charging in Denim is super fast compared to Cyan. Usually will get btwn 30-40% per hour charge, but after I've done bathing n dressed up ~30mins, I checked the phone batt status and it showed 57% per hour (everything was on.. lte, wifi, gps, cortana, and essential bground apps). Excellent!

Then, the tile arrangement begins. Loving the live folders. And now the Battery Saver (small) tile shows the percentage whereas it didn't in cyan.

Also, FINALLY a data switch in the notification centre. No more going into settings just to turn on/off data anymore.

Anyway, wish it had the Lumia Camera 5 but alas due to hardware limitations. Bummer.

Thanks for the update....good to know...yeah kinda disappointment with Lum Cam 5 incapability.

Been using 'Battery Monitor' app for switching data mode (wifi, phone, gps, Bluetooth, airplane mode, etc)...cool apps, but its god if we have in notification as well.

What issue are u referring to? It went well for me on the first try. Just make sure u got good wifi speed, or else the update will face some errors (disconnection).

can consider to hard reset it using windows phone recovery tool (all saved game will gone)

make sure u performed backup before hard reset

The only thing I feel is the phone being a bit faster on Denim.
Other functions not noticible maybe because I was on developers previews.

Let me know what you think after having Denim for a while. Would love to know what others think.

err i am damn late to the party. Is there anyplace you guys can suggest where i can buy a new 1020? I really wan the camera function and wanted to upgrade from nokia n8 which is still alive and kicking in 2015 @@ apart from needing a new battery change.

All the official nokia store in Pavilion and klcc have no more stock

it's very hard to find a brand new original 1020 ... maybe u can try your luck at USED or AP device
