It's taking forever for Microsoft to release a new Nokia flagship..
I guess they want to make everything right and Windows 10 ready.

The longer the wait, the better for me, because I have no plan to upgrade yet.

My 1020 suddenly died on me this morning. I can't get it to start up, its an empty black screen the whole day. I hope its not the end of the line for it, if yes.. I'm eyeing an LG G3 next, a little fed up with Whatsapp and a number of apps loading pretty slowly on the dual core of our 1020. sad.gif

Just updated to Denim today.

I didnt observe much difference on camera speed, pretty much the same. ANyways, my camera on cyan, was pretty fast as well, unlike many had indicated here.

The only thing, observe is the charging time shows kinda slow...hmmm previously it would indicate as 20++ percent/hr charging. Now its around 9.6

I think, I'm figuring out the problem...just my assumption based on my observation; I think Denim and the battery sensor is not calibrated. This can be observed, by restarting the phone, and you will observe "most" of the time the battery charge percentage changes.

This goes to show, that Denim is not reading the battery charge correctly, and most likely due to calibration.

Hence, I would conclude, it takes couple of charge and discharge to stabilize the reading.

In addition, I do also observe, at time, it seems to discharges quickly, and at times its slow in discharging, even with heavy usage.

Hence I will wait for a week or two before concluding.....

another suspect was whatsapp....because after recent updates with so many notification change (blue tick everywhere, somebody's typing even at whatsapp mainpage etc etc).....

whatsapp message incoming everyday over 3k chats everyday even with all group muted since beginning.. laugh.gif

so for now i'm turning on the battery saver so the whatsapp didnt didnt operation untill i open the apps...seems like ok for now....

with full charge this morning around 7am...till now with occasional whatsapp, telegram,fb browsing...still got +-60% battery....

Nope, did soft and hard reset, nothing works. Sent to the Nokia Centre in the city (they don't have a Nokia Centre here, looked like a dodgy shop when I entered the shop lol) and have yet to hear from them since.

The camera was certainly good but I can't comprehend why Nokia couldn't put in a quad core for a phone of this stature.

MSFT event was over at MWC, and no Lumia 1020 successor. sigh.
