Hi guys
please recommend me a laptop for business purposes

1. Preferred Brand: Dell or any good after sales service
2. Budget: RM2k or less
3. Usage: Need a laptop with good connectivity because office work is highly dependable on Wifi, Internet and Network. We need to consistently connected to airlines system (MAS, AirAsia, Malindo, etc) and travel agencies ticketing system. Any network disconnection can be a risk for huge loss.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14" or 15"

Yeah, like what raymond sifu has mentioned, only Vostro lines suffer from weak WiFi cards (which can be "fixed" by replacing the card laugh.gif)
I would recommend sticking to Dell if you want good warranty support

true that business laptops are built to last longer than home laptops do but technology evolution wont stop. the demand of performance will increase as well when you want a productive work to produce faster. an average laptop life span is 2-3 years, but if you are lucky enough, maybe 5 years also wont become a problem.

about business laptops, they are worth to buy for last longer usage but negative side is the low resale value and price over performance factor.

I'm also in the same dilemma, whether to go for home or business laptops. Setting my sight on thinkpad at the moment, but not too sure whether is it really worth the money.

I'll be using it as a mobile workstation cause need to travel quite often. Read reviews that the normal home laptops will not be as durable as business models if you are moving it around often. Is that true?

If you have the budget and do not intend to change notebooks for up to 5 years, go for business-line notebooks, they are truly reliable and are also covered by superb support
Make sure you have an SSD if you are moving around alot nod.gif
Conventional HDDs are more susceptible to damages caused by knocks nod.gif

problem is, Y50 isnt announced yet. the best budget overall you can get at the moment is Lenovo Y510P, or you need to wait for Y50.

FreeDOS = no operating system
no operating system = games tell the computer, "WTF is this sh*t?"
