Basically this will be my first PC as i have been using an old laptop for a long while. That is why i cant play a lot of games currently. I wanted to invest more in this and make a gaming rig that will last me for many years to come. Would prefer some really cool looking casing as well. Thanks for help in advance.

If i were you,i'd get Corsair Carbide 200r for the same price and Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X 4GB GDDR5 RM1699!  
Btw,the GPU you recommended is Zotac la.

Zalman..all i know they have CPU Coolers iinm.

What's the name of the PSU?

I was offered the zalman 700w gt bronze at rm270, the fsp 650w was at rm250 so I figured I'd just stump up the rm20 to get a slightly higher powered one

oh..well..that isn't..comforting to know that it's somewhat noisy...I guess I can still change the parts as I've not made the full payment yet and can ask them to change the PSU as I'm still waiting for my fractal casing to arrive which should be tomorrow...

If u've an i7 k series doesn't mean u need a Z87 mobo,because some people bought it without asking for suggestions first..  

CPU cooler boleh beli yang mana suke. 

K series proc have OC capability, and only able to be OC with Z87 chipset. But of course some manufacture make slight change for B85/H87 to have OC capability, like ASRock Fatality board. 
If he serious, better just get Z87 chipset. Plus the Asrock Killer is best bang for it price/features with nice aesthetic value.

Im using the rig for gaming (high setting) and also autocad works (civil3D). Some of the spec i put 2 type is so that there's option to choose to maximize my budget. Im not into OC [ noob in this=) ]

Personally I'd recommend the M12II 520W instead since it's a modular unit...  The number of Molex and SATA power cables on the S12II are a lot... and I cannot remove the cables since they are not modular...
A quality 520W unit is still capable of powering the machine though...

recently upgraded my pc, bought few components and even tested some brand I never heard/used... btw, what is your recommend PSU for budget rm300-350? my 2008 year old PSU enermax surprisedly me that it can support i7 mobo on recent upgarde, but would liek to think and decide ahead in mind my next PSU once the old one gg (touch wood - plz life as long as possible).
