Hi, can someone tell if we install Locktech on preve CFE, does it will void the warranty?

tq..

Upon retrieving my Persona and Preve, I have been approached by Locktech agent. I was told no issues on warranty.

I did not install on any on my cars, it was a direct rejection for my Preve. Preve gets 5 star ANCAP rating at the point of test. With a metal rod near the leg, no one can be sure if the car is still so crash-worthy as specifications. Just my personal fear.

Compared to the turbo version of coz. LOL. The sentence was pretty direct.
I'll be lurking here often as I'm torn between Persona or Preve (not so soon.. maybe 2-3 months from now) .. after taking Almera out of my options. Been 10 years driving the trusty ol' Saga with no major hiccups . I guess another gamble with proton won't hurt.
*
I see. I thought cfe has a better power to weight ratio thus more fuel efficient. My bad.

Btw, I've seen on Oto.my that the exec version is 56k and the cfe turbo version is 69k if not mistaken. Quite a drop!

Edit: Exec - 56k, CFE - 67k

Your starter don't leak any fluids. The black thing is probably carbon powder. The carbon come from motor's carbon brush

Can you check if it's oily?

It doesn't look like oil to me especially the spread on the starter itself. Should be ok.

Anybody feels the car going through humps.. feels like engine dropping off?

I mean you have to really slow down the car a lot.. although the impact is still to be felt.

I think it's due to its rather firm suspension, that's why it handles steadily during cornering as you feel the road feedback more thro the steering...if you drive on a smooth road and yet steering vibrates then you need to be a little worried

Hi Guys,

I have a situation here. My previous Service was on 5,000km and I used the Synthetic Oil which makes my next Service is on 15,000km.

Currently my car had travelled a total of 12,000km. And few days back, I was flipping through the service record, and noticed that SC suppose to inspect the battery, brake plate, etc at 10,000km. I am not sure the previous 5,000km, whether the SC had perform the inspection.

Do I have to bring my car to SC to get those parts inspected? As per attachment (Pro-Basic) found in this forum, I think till 40,000km it will be just only the Black Oil Replacement?

Appreciate for a prompt reply as I'm planning to drive for a long distance tomorrow notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

hi mate,
i think it should be no problem, maybe u can call sc for confirmation

i just share my experience,
as i remembered, my service is at 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k,20k,25k, 30k using semi oil
at 35k service i insisted to use fully and interval mileage is 10k, but they say it will be issue if the service interval at 45k, 55k, 65k and so on.. (probably documentation issue on major service which is at 60k)
so they suggest me to service at 40k and then start using fully oil which the interval will 50k, 60k and so on.
hope this could help you somehow.

T&C Apply. It says RM66K if NCD 55%. You don't know what other terms to get the RM66K. You only know when you enquire in person.
