If you're interested in this card, just assume that AF is unavoidable from 2nd year.

I spent only 1k per month and HLB never charge me second year AF since my second year renewal in Feb 2014.
For Wise card, you wouldn't want to spend more than 1k, otherwise you wouldn't get the effective 10% cash back.
There isn't any officially AF waiver policy for wise card by HLB, you just need to call CS for waiver after AF charged to your account. Waiver is not guaranteed though.

If I'm not mistaken, only New to Bank Customer entitle for First year af weaver and the following af cannot be waived coz its a cb card, only points card can request for af waiver laugh.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong

Everyone can request for AF waiver. Its up to the bank to waive or not. For wise card, some will get waiver, some will not. The conditions for waiver is still heavily under debate and the truth is still not known for us here at LYN yet. In the coming weeks will be my card anniv so i shall inform you all here.

Wise is actually a great cashback card, and particularly on groceries when GST starts to take effect next year.

i've been persuading my parents to withhold their grocery spending till at least RM50 before heading out to buy. Too bad, they rush to tesco/giant whenever they see promo/discounted price on newspaper, and each time spends <RM50 doh.gif their basis is due to the promotion is not frequent and they want to get the best deal ASAP. adoiiiiii rclxub.gif

asked them to budget 3x-4x RM50 in a month, and again their typical shopping mindset cannot change their spending behavior sweat.gif sweat.gif

Nowadays, it is really hard for me to shop grocery for less than RM50... RM50 is getting smaller and smaller shakehead.gif

yes, my other point of argument too. it's relatively easy to hit RM50 for just 1 visit. shop from end to end, sure can fill up the RM50 quota per cart biggrin.gif

make sure you buy and give the vouchers to your parents in rm10 x 5pcs instead of rm50 x 1pc. otherwise, if they buy less than rm50, the balance will be gone... laugh.gif
