Just try out this yesterday. Frank said I really like it.

Performance is smooth. Design and build quality is awesome!

Camera is great, I think the best in tablet series so far.

Nice speaker output.

Really feel like buying it!

Hi all. New owner here. Downgraded from my Note 3 and bought this one for some extra cash.

Personal view, Mediapad X1 is slightly 'slow' compared to Note 3 with both devices performance optimised but still within tolerable speed. Perhaps, with Kitkat the device can be much better. Agreed to some forumer, the power button sometime causing problem when use.

Being using default Huawei launcher for a day, but then changed to Smart Launcher 2 free version. Preferred Smart Launcher over Nova/ Apex as I can set the default orientation to landscape which I think more suit for such large device and I'm not that much of a user that like to use widget on the homescreen

I'm also thinking about this.... seems like Z Ultra on steriods in terms of size. Z Ultra already I cannot bend down to tie my shoelace.. sit down also must be careful not to bend the phone.. that's my only concern.. the size is good and bad in it's own way.

For most usage this phablet can match XZU. Exception probably in gaming as its lower specs processor - Antutu only around 22k vs 34k of XZU.
I don't play games n unable to confirm further. I tested several games n all ran well though.
Positives over XZU is display quality, excellent battery life n much better phone speakers.

Waiting for you to join this family.. biggrin.gif fast2 buy yours..

its becoming my fav device now.. its getting peoples attention when they saw i holds this.. just like when XZU was still new before.. biggrin.gif in terms of size, XZU is definitely easier to handle and still feels like a phone.. this X1 is a bit jerky in terms of user interface performance, but not to say it gives me headache, no.. its just not up to the standard that i would say "buttery" smooth.. display is very nice.. it feels like a breeze taking my eyes away from Note 3 to this.. Amoled is just too over saturated.. X1 display is more natural and easy to look at, it is just nice.. i agree the motto "exceed the limit of your phone" biggrin.gif

ya LCD is my fav too, still remember my previous M7 display, still my fav..

the most outstanding thing about X1 is the battery life.. everyday i went back home after office with 50-60% juice left.. today, now i still have 68%.. never had this kind of battery life before.. now i feel wasted that i bought multiple Xiaomi powerbanks. lol

i also have the same question.. that day my other phone is low battery, then i was thinking to do reverse charging, then i was "oh wait, where is the cable?" huawei did not provide that cable for that purpose, despite of their advertisement that we can use this to do reverse charging sweat.gif

I have been using this phone n the XZU alternately as my daily driver. Both has its pro n cons. Still quite undecided which is better for me
The XZU is a better pocketability phone n overall is a smoother performer. But it loses out on display quality , phone speaker loudness n comparatively poorer battery life. I can easily have 10 hours SOT on this phone vs 6-7 hours on the XZU

I tried to perform reverse charging using a normal OTG cable and a standard charging cable. It works when the phone is switched on. GCC measured 800 on the Note3.
