I sold off my lg pad 8.3 after getting this. The disadvantage of the pad 8.3 is its poorer display quality , poorer camera, poorer speakers n it cannot be used as a phone . The pad is basically a wifi tablet.
You cannot compare these 2 as both are in different category
I opt for this as I always like big display phone. Unlike some pocketability is great n never an issue for me. I can even fit in Nexus7 inside my deep side pockets
Both has no bugs ( significantly noticeable yet)

Oh g pad no phone function is it. I thought it has LTE like the mediapad x1 guess i got wrong info.

Well, next month is a few more days to go. Let's see when the 501L ROM B006 is published.

Best of all will be making the kernel sources available as well.

It supported 1800 / 2600 MHz freq so it work with Malaysia LTE Telco providers.

always check what you hear with facts, there are many people in the forum posting ' i heard this, i heard that.. without actually verifying anything from people who are equally clueless..

True, but in this case I think we can all be forgiven since Huawei never came up with a proper list of models and even in China there is confusion.

We're not even sure whether 503L and 501L are actually identical on the inside or not despite the official specs.

Those in doubt just buy original Malaysia HuaWei set for assurance on LTE support
The day I bought it I tested using speedtest n recorded 40000-50000 kbps download on my Maxis postpaid

Nothing awkward about answering in public...... I have done many times sort of immune to the huge slab on the face. In fact people are admiring the new look, bigger the better.

just finished loading things into the SD card, went without problem.. relief..

hence there my music playlist inside, just want to say the audio sound out of this mediapad x1 surprising quite good (using IEM).. even better than what i heard on Note 3.. Mi3 having a pretty bad sound output quality.. same goes for Honor 3c.. so far i think Note 3 and Mediapad X1 are on the fence to be acceptable music player for me. my previous HTC One M7 was good as well but a bit boomy. XZU was pretty decent as well.. all for casual on the go listening, of course.. most time need to couple with external amp.. the X1 loudspeaker also louder than other common handphone, albeit sounds thin.. thumbs up for mediapad x1 once more
