This device is really tempting. I'm gonna get one of this, but I'll wait for official launch.

I wonder with such big battery, how long does it takes to recharge?

Hopefully Malaysian official device will be Honor X1.. The name honor means it will sells online, and at much cheaper price.. If we get Mediapad, be prepared for a mainstream price tags

Honor X1 is only for China and its only China version.

International version is Mediapad X1.
As early press from Huawei, Honor X1 a little cheaper price is to fight China market. Big competitor there such as Coolpad, XiaoMi & Lenovo.

As i study from China website, Honor X1 is only single LTE which is LT-LTE, and not equip with FDD-LTE.

Honor 3c was also for China market, but then released via Vmall in Malaysia.. I'm hoping same thing for Honor X1.. The model honor meant to be sold online to reduce retail costs

on Lazada, Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 (imported set) price has down as low as RM1030 now, and Tab 4 is below RM1k.. http://www.lazada.com.my/shop-tablets/samsung/

its becoming more competitive

The audio quality I have no complains. It trounces the XZU greatly. Even though speakers are at back the sound is crisp n clear n sufficiently loud too. No idea on x3s quality. I would say those who wish to buy this will solely for its display quality n size.

i'm looking around the web but couldn't find a photo of XZU and X1 side by side, just to imagine the actual handheld size.. mind to take picture of your XZU and X1 side by side?

1st day of Mediapad X1.

Last night 10pm finish charge 100%, this morning wake up with 88%. The night is with WIFI & DATA on. Sync off. Power saving mode NORMAL.

Check battery, its google service issue.

Morning ON Sync, until now 82%.
Seem like today i have to ROOT it and do some tweak.

Camera quality so far its good, just took a few documentation photo. Weekend will try outdoor photo. By lens and specification sheet. Mediapad X1 camera is F2.0 while my Note 3 is F2.2 so Mediapad X1 camera is better than Note 3 camera according to spec.

Screen is fantastic for gaming, reading. So far its the best screen i ever have on my mobile device.

Copy XZU slogan abit. Big screen, BIG entertainment mah.

this device officially beat XZU in every aspect, except that S800 proc is still a promising option, and well, waterproof.. laugh.gif

XZU benchmarks figures trounced this phone... Gamers might prefer XZU. Example XZU antutu can hit 34k while is only 22k for this phone. I don't play games so this is unimportant. Daily usage is as good as XZU n this phone display quality is simply great.
*
i don't play much games as well lately.. my smartphones is used mostly for reading, internet and planner..

i'm tempted to get a unit, but currently having multiple devices in hands.. need to let go my Mi3 and Note 3 Neo first.. or perhaps my Note 3 as well, bored with them already.. laugh.gif anyone want to trade mediapad X1 with my devices? icon_question.gif

A little comparison with the first Mediapad:

[attachmentid=4024188]

[attachmentid=4024190]

[attachmentid=4024192]

The slimming of the bezels and increase of battery capacity by 20% is a wonderful thing. It is also performing about 2.4 times the dual core S3Pro Qualcomm.

Best of all is the new screen resolution and PPI.

Would like to read your review on this sir.. I'm also tempted to have one, but no budget until I let go one of my current phone.. Am thinking to replace my XZU for this, but still wondering if it can work as a normal phone for me instead of feel like a tablet, and above all, smooth performance. Haven't have time the search for a demo unit..

Im a proud owner on this monster phone. biggrin.gif got it from Christopher atlantis at a good deal includes a nilkin flip case.. Recommended seller..

First impression: although it is just marginally bigger than XZU in term of ohysical size, but to me, it feels more like a tablet already when i hold it on my palm.. Will try to use this as a main phone starting tmrw and see how.. At a glance, performance is just okok lah..

Uncle, i got issues trying to use my 64gb sandisk microsd.. need to format it to FAT32 right? i did that, reformat by using the phone itself, then tried to transfer data into it, as usual almost 30gb of music, some movies and other stuff, which is 40gb+ in size.. first trial, i was attempting to copy all the folders at once, it failed.. then i think maybe need to transfer batch by batch.. so i did, seems like the transfer was succesfull.. but then when i disconnect and check the sd card content in the phone, it seems empty. then i tried to reformat using PC, but it failed to reformat. sweat.gif then i put back into the phone, reformat from there, successful.. then i tried again to copy data into it, same thing, nothing goes in. shakehead.gif now i'm afraid my SD card broken edy.. huu

when format using this phone, there is 2 option given, FAT32 and NTFS.. must choose FAT32 if using 64gb microsd is it?

I sold off my lg pad 8.3 after getting this. The disadvantage of the pad 8.3 is its poorer display quality , poorer camera, poorer speakers n it cannot be used as a phone . The pad is basically a wifi tablet.
You cannot compare these 2 as both are in different category
I opt for this as I always like big display phone. Unlike some pocketability is great n never an issue for me. I can even fit in Nexus7 inside my deep side pockets
Both has no bugs ( significantly noticeable yet)

Now when I try to format the SD card on my mac, it say error because the card can't be unmounted.. Darn it.. Maybe i has broke my SD card.. Huhu..

second day of using this.. i still feel quite awkward to pic up call in public using X1.. biggrin.gif but this is an awesome device.. really like the IPS display.. display quality looks like iPad's.. love the more natural coloring compared to Samsung's amoled..
