Hi abgbeca,

Z5 970M has much better performance/price ratio and S5 970M is much expandable and it has G-sync. You can drop by our office to take a look of both models http://www.illegear.com/getting-here

Hello everyone.

Anyone here facing problem after updating the new Nvidia latest graphic driver.

I trying update the latest Nvidia graphic driver (ver 364.51) for my D5 Haswell.
After the update, all my USB driver didn't work. Same issue when I trying to update with Nvidia Driver (ver 362.00).

Have to revert back to Nvidia Driver ver 361.75 and all my USB driver work fine again.

Hi Prince, my CPU has been overheating. I suspect over the past year, dust started accumulate and heatvents are getting less efficient. May I know if it's against the warranty for me to open up my own unit to do dust cleaning?

I think mine might be more than just dust. I tried unvolting and underclocking using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, but the moment i start the stress test the temperature just shoots up crazily, as if the CPU has bad contact/fan isn't working well or something. I'll probably pay you all a visit tomorrow.

You can try disabling Intel Turbo Boost, or reapply thermal compound.

just tried reapplying the thermal compound. never exceed 83C on stress test already. Looks like the thermal compound is dried.

Just wanna ask also, how long do we normally reapply thermal compounds? It never seemed to bother me too much on my old notebook

For IC Diamond, you need to reapply within 1 to 2 years.
