QUOTE(ketiak_masyam @ Dec 18 2014, 06:39 PM) changed akon bearing last night, osman baba was reali skillful, changed akon bearing without take out front right tire (similar to when changing timing belt)...my sport rim locknut cannot be unscrewed (locknut haus and no shape anymore, after many attempts and tricks still cannot screw it out) so he did it from upside...changed akon bearing and pasang balik akon belt... Glad that you have your car back! What a marvelous experience(but I'll pass for the JEC coil, rather invest more on ori Renot). What's your plan with the lug nut. Taboley kan? Bahaye tu if anyting happeng to tayar mampos kau total damage rm300, but satisfy and thankful to him...bcos it was done in unusual way...now my sawi back to normal again...lighter steering and colder air cond, no more aeroplane sound from engine bay next time want pasang paddle shift from him...estimated rm650 for it *in case anyone want to change sawi ignition coil, he's having promo rm150 for JEC, siap pasang |

QUOTE(TrutH_SeeKeR @ Dec 18 2014, 10:53 PM) thanks for the invitation David.. Sorry didn't pay attention to your gender stated on the information panel. You're excused until you have a boifren/hubby, then bring him along next time unfortunately i don't think i can make it tmrw… furthermore to drive at night all by myself being a single lady… i wish all of u a nice gath.. however if i may ask few questions here.. my lil baby savvy has been a good girl for the past few years ..however..i need to ask..where is the best place for me to send my car for a check-up. all this years i hv been sending to our regular mechanic but he is not the master of savvy cars..i need to change the speedo sensor.. n which tyres fit best for the savvy.. i have changed my rims to 14" JRD.. tq First of all, if it's not too much trouble for you to go all the way to Suban USJ, Renautech is the place to go. Look for William, a nice chap to talk to. Working environment is perfect, and they're professionals. Price is NOT the cheapest in town, but they know their stuff and I'd say the price is usually cheaper than reasonable for an import engine. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Renau+Tec...5d586557657f9fe As for the wheels, I'm on 14 as well. I have marvelous experience with Achilles ATR K-eConomis from nestum. For a small 14" tyres it came with excellent water repellent channels and offer excellent dry grip with reasonably hard side wall. Noise is not as bad as Shawie stock NCT5 as the tyre came with thread in thread technology to ensure the tayar bunga not too far apart so can easily maintain silence, as well as to assure you can use the tyre to its very last bid instead of after 50% usage then the tyre lose grip. How silent is it? To me it's silent enough. Nothing much can complaint about for RM140/donut. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Perkhidma...f3cd98458739091 |

QUOTE(youngman28 @ Dec 19 2014, 10:54 AM) Hi David, I would say its your driving style. I drive according to vacuum reading. My 1st gear usually will drag until 3.5krpm, 2nd,3rd,4th gear will drag until 3krpm, whereas 5th gear seldom go past 3krpm at 90kph-100kph even on highway. My vacuum driving style usually maintain around 15in/Hg, so its all time running stoich(burning efficiently)I am member of lowyat for the past few year.Have follow this thread quite sometime like 1-2year. Have brought a second hand sawi, about 3-4mth, 2006 manual for second car. Have modified the air filter to a Taiwan open pot type due to easy to clean up and comment that it give better fc and pick-up. Have follow what yrs modified on yrs sawi, However, after modified, the mileage look like suffer fr 400km to 350km/full tank. I have trial this for one month, but still the same result. Can you please advise accordingly? I will post a photo later on. Beside this, I have not yet modified any part or system for the car. My driving style still remind same, usually <120km/hr for highway, and not a race kaki type. Others sawi siful welcome to post yrs comment as well. On the otherhand, I saw the picture of yours, the PCV hose has changed to normal vacuum hose instead of fuel supply hose that can handle high pressure. Your hose already compressed & the PCV breather unable to create enough space for your valve movement(in short your engine kenot breathe). If you're free & stay around Klang valley region, tonight do drop by for a TT @ Sri Petaling. I will help you diagnose personally. Cheers |

QUOTE(youngman28 @ Dec 19 2014, 09:17 PM) I been seaching also, look like some of the outlet was stopped selling engine oil , i been looking at klang and kuala selangor branch, both also not available Tesco product price restructuring. Expecting Tesco engine oils to hike. Regardless, if you see promotion anywhere between 79~89 is reasonable for fully synthetics. As for myself, already gave up normal oils and now using diesel use engine oil p/s: currently didn't see oil promotion in Tesco as at 18/12/2014. The price tag stated RM139 |
