As Iska said whistling.gif

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Nov 28 2014, 02:28 PM)
this is shawie story la brader. you case is different story one.
*
It's only a same different story. Using fully synthetic expansive oil and drag it until 25k km until oil change, has not much differnece than using mineral oil like the unker I met, drag until 10k km. The only difference is, sohem Quazacolt uses a so much more expansive synthetic oil that he's confident enough it will not harm his engine, sumoar with lab test proven result on acidic level after oil being used extensively. BUT, he will never dare to put mineral oil in his car, not to mention drag for 10k km service interval. As for lab test, I don't have 1 for that unker's Shawie, other than my butt dyno result laugh.gif

Technically, Quazacolt is not many different. The different is, the unker make use of so little investment to up keep the car, whereas Quazacolt had to spend more whistling.gif

i'm thankful on people that are generous/sharing on knowledge.
that's how we can progress as a whole/community. thumbup.gif

btw i also not DIY guy ma, also can do preventive maintenance punya nod.gif

also if you want to sapu tesco oil, can consider Shell full symthetic with pureplus made from natural gas.
user posted image

on the same note, Giant selling the same thing for the same price (or maybe rm10-20 more expensive?) but with 5 liter bottle.
i can trust tesco to have genuine parallel imported Shell la, Giant not so sure lol, but it's cheap nonetheless.

personally not going for it since Malaysia not bringing in 0w20 viscosity and i'm an advocate on thin viscosity EO laugh.gif
*
Cow head no match horse mouth sleep.gif Pipu talking about how to cut cost, go tesko bai mineral oil lar sleep.gif

user posted image

This is more likely, getting synthetic oil for 1/2 price laugh.gif

Semi synthetic at the price of mineral laugh.gif

At my mother in law house oso parked 1 at her porch, 1 outside, 1 at her neighbor, 2 at the fire lane. Everyday go start kar warm up alone, 1 week ady chew me up like 50 bucks just to warm up cars dry.gif Other than all those, got 2 more part car at home town, my mom also start to make noise say wanna throw away ady sad.gif If I buy your adorable green apple, after swap stuff & start to use the green kar, then I'll have a red car dunno put where liao doh.gif

Actually, where can I source for rear seats besides the cannibalised car above? It made squeaky sounds since I purchased it and my stupid warranty claims from Proton never made it through over this 5 year period. Even Tribunal couldn't help.
*
Ada, I ady dug up Shawies resting grave, found a few donor liao. If interested find 1 day we go Senawang go cabut part and weight see how marj need to pay brows.gif Acterly hor, my kar oso got the squeeking noise from the back seat, on the rear left passenger side to be exact. Believe the noise from the trunk cover board lah, not the chair. There was once I went DAISO bought a door stopper and stuck it on the board then no more squeeking sound anymoar laugh.gif The trouble is, after several times open/shut the tailgate, provided my trunk is like a trash bin full of garbage and spareparts, so the stopper fly off and now continue to hear mouse sound liao laugh.gif

Wow you found a graveyard for Savvy? Cool. Yeah let's see whether we'll be free or not. I think without you, this thread almost die edi.

Usually car's club in LYN practice 2500 post to swap thread starter as a general admin. Those are the fast moving thread. When talk about Shawie, seriously there's not much enthusiats would take this car seriously due to:

1) Senang rosak
2) Not pocket/wallet friendly part & labor
3) From front look like a toilet bowl
4) From side look lika turtle
5) The back looks lik the front

There's a trend that getting lesser Shawie around. As u can see so many Shawie owner came in retire their car. Me, as a car guy that owner so many cars, in the end I still choose Shawie as my daily ride simply bcoz its a very practical car. Its comfortable for small car, handle like a rally car, sounded like an F1. I will inform moderator towards our last 20-posts, to unlimitedly extend this thread for easier future maintenance(until I no longer own a Shawie). If not I do, who do ler sad.gif What left nowadays either AMT rosaked beyond repair(too expansive), or survivor with a different engine. How sad to see people put a TRD sticker on their windshield visor. Haiz sad.gif
