why proton didn't bother to use this as marketing leh?

*
Refer #1 post, under Video section. Reason for not using that video is because

1) Mark turned Petronas down on F1 contract
2) Mark drove better Ferraries than the 1 out cuntry has
3) Mark doesn't really like the car in that video if you pay attention to what he said, other than the exhaust noise he commented is very sporty(which again, can be a bad side of marketing as majority of makcik pakcik would prefer a less noisy car)

Overall, getting a race car driver to comment on a civilian daily use street vehicle is the worst thing 1 can do. Differences between normal citizen and a race car driver, point of view, value of CONTROL is entirely opposite:

1) Steering feedback
Professional: Need to feel the exact feedback from the road, direct reflect of actual speed
Average Joe: Need to feel safe

2) Steering response
Professional: Fast, instantaneous, agile. In short, need to have less understeer.
Average Joe: Can't even tell the car is understeer when overspeed cornering.

3) NVH
Professional: As long engine rev sound, exhaust note, and actual acceleration are synchronized in real time
Average Joe: Some prefer hear nothing at all, that's why they buy electric car with 155 LRR tyres

When you combine all these good thing of a racer, it's a bad thing for ordinary car owner. When Mark commented there's bad understeer on Shawie, infact that's the prove of safety. Ask again, how does "this car has serious understeer" sounded like to an average driver? It sure sounds B A D laugh.gif Luckily Plotong aint use that video to promote, otherwise Shawie will probably end up selling even less than the toaster with wheels Plotong Juara. icon_question.gif

I've never faced any problem with my car. all the time servicing in proton only. for the 1st time I'm having problem with my subframe due to my reckless driving attitude. can anyone suggest or advice me how to change that bloody bush as the proton had asked me to change the whole SUBFRAME which i feel absurd foolish decision. pls help me. I'll give advice on savvy electrical and electronic system in exchange

NOX know a workshop specialized in replacing rubber bushing with silicone bushes. May be he can shed some lights regarding this matter.

Another thing is, I salute your loyalty to Plotong, 5 years with Plotong SC and now only you complain... FOR THE 1st TIME SUMOAR!!! notworthy.gif I've driven my Iswaga into Toyolda SC for regular service, I've also driven a Wigra into Hongda SC for regular service as well. The only time I went to Plotong after owning many Plotongs for many years, finally decided to pay a Plotong SC a visit, and I curse until their grandfather grandmother all come out and never bother to go back again.

Thanks for your reply. So this means we can swap the HU with another unit and it will not harm the Savvy Electrical system as such.
Any idea of any good accessories shop around KL area which can do the swap with reasonable price.

Thats cool. Do you have the number of that shop and how much it cost you for the HU. im really fed up of the stock HU as need to make CD's every time and one CD will only contain about 14-15 songs only.
really need to change that System.

Hi guys, my friend has a savvy and that day he went to change his headlight bulb.
But the shop fella misplaced the back part cover. Anyone know the name of the thing or
where can I find it? tried to find it but dead end.
*
Usually came together 1 full set with the head lamp assembly. You can try your luck at sparepare shop. There's no specific name for that thing, just tell the sparepart fella the back cover for headlamp, then tell them the model see whether they got keep stock.

Alternatively, can try your luck at kedai potong/halfcut shop. Problem is, those fellas aren't honest. I'm guessing most of the time people getting their used part at new price, or probably even more expansive than new in the name of IMPORT yawn.gif

My 5th gear is missing, ie cannot be engaged. I think the synchromesh is kaput/rosak.
and i can engage R without lifting the knob.
*
Sudah engaged tapi keta tak jalan? Atopon nak masok tabuli? Klo dah engaged tak jalan, cuma ade grinding sound mmg synchro kaput. Klo nak engage tabuli(gearstick sangkot) mungkib shift link misaligned. Boley ejes balek.

Synchro koyak can be repair oso. See whether magician willing to do so. Otherwise, tukak gebox is inevitable, sebab susah mau carik gebox part for replacement.

My magician kat Dengkil amat capable on MT. If u need, can give him try tgk boley bikin balek. Lemme knw if u stay arnd KL/Selangor region.

QUOTE(sukesh123 @ Nov 11 2014, 12:49 PM)
hi,
Just replace my built in HU with a Phillips CD player with USB and SD card support and im really loving the new found music i can enjoy on my savvy.
Thanks for all you guys advice on the same.
Need one help on another topic  i was recently checling my cooolant container and found that there is no water and the container was empty.
i bought battery water from a Petronas shop and refilled it to the MAX indicator. this was 2 days ago.
today i checked and found again the coolant water level has gone down drastically and i needed to fill almost half a bottle of battery water.
woudl there be a leakage somewhere i need to check and how much would i need to spend on this to get it repaired.
thanks in advance.
*
Few places need to be checked:

1) Thermostat return hose connector
2) Thermostat housing
3) Water pump bypass hose
4) Water pump
5) Water pump bypass hose housing
6) Reservoir tank hose

Last but not least, pick up the dipstick and check engine oil level. If engine oil level is increasing, and the color of the engine oil is not black nor transparent brown, came the color of coffee/white, that means hailut.com.my. Need to get the engine overhaul soonest possible. Coffee/white color engine oil meaning there's leaking internally, possibly caused by blown headgasket, as radiator coolant goes into engine oil. If not being treated immediately, water will continue to sip into engine block, ended up water will jam up your piston. By then, we're looking at change engine rather than repair.

Good luck

Quite a number of scene wub.gif Things that I see it, it's a cheap/cheerful car to trash. Another thing is, the grill is facelift version. Plotong loga has been removed. The hood is misaligned. So it's safe to said, that car was meant for kedai potong anyways laugh.gif
