Macam best aje...kuat bebudak forum ni meracun yee...heheh. kenot.kenot..bought this car nak buat stock belasahan aje..pergi pasar..balik kampung..pergi surau..hehe.

For driving satisfaction, saving up right now hopefully in 10 years time can buy lotus exige sangkut banjir second hand....hahaha.

speaking of lotus...just balik kampung seremban using LEKAS...not bad..not bad at all the savvy punya handling....take the sweeping corners at 140-150 melekat...sudden throttle lift off or braking in mid corners also the car doesn't panic...compose aje.

question- tested top speed...terminal velocity clocked at 160kmh (5th gear 5000rpm)...from 5000 rpm sangat..sangat..sangat susah to climb to red line...is it because of the modified exhaust?

Ni nak main lift off obersteer nie. Powah whistling.gif

The entire idea of Shawie is built in enormous of UNDER STEER, yet due to equally distributed weight and engine lean towards firewall, the entire center of gravity has been lowered and equally distributed over the 4 corners. If you wanted to have a taste of over steer, all you gotta do is plonk 195 tayar infront and 165 tayar at the back. Sure you spin like no tomolo! But despite that, your car will still sweep side ways DURING the spin. So, it's an understeer car.

To increase agility, you'll have to downgrade your tayar width to 165. I have many good memories with ATR K-Sport 165/55R14. Top speed is about 160kph as you tested, can reach 170kph by keeping it roll downhill. But in order to break that, you'll need Kirolsan to further tune your system because the little D4F topped out 6500rpm at 5th. So, you can't go any further until you raise your red line to 7k, might get a chance to jilat 190kph.

For exhaust, Shawie required much back pressure as the SOHC engine has very little top end power. In order to retain the back pressure and making sure smooth air flow, I think I changed to EVERCO if not mistaken. Very low noise emission and better mid range output in my opinion.

After driving this pocket rocket for sometime, I find myself unable to get a similar match in terms of handling from other cars. Despite people say Gentut/Personia punya handling bagui, but compare to a Shawie is still sampan like yawn.gif

White smoke got 2 condition:

1) Valve seal leak = When idling no smoke. When traveling also no smoke. But when after long idling wanna start moving, suddenly ekzos become DBKL mosquito sprayer.
Root cause = Bad maintenance interval, low grade engine oil, bad exhaust system setup(if modified), bad injectors, bad air filter. Either 1 or more of these to cause this damage. Technically, a bad maintenance master owns the car over a long period, any of these will happened and caused the damage to the engine head. However, if your car already clocked over 200k mileage, then it's not your fault. Can consider this rosak as wear and tear.
Rectification = top overhaul around RM1000

2) Piston ring wear off = Regardless idle, traveling, the more you load the engine the more smoke comes out.
Root cause = Overheated engine that caused by radiator issues. Low grade engine oil. Running low engine oil level for prolong period. Over revved engine(Shawie got rev cut, unless you bypass it). Technically, this is a moron driver that causes the engine damage. Drive don't look at water temperature. Saw temperature going up still don't care wanna drive all the way to magician hope the magic can revive the car. Drive many month also no check engine oil. Change oil choose the cheapest oil instead of checking on quality. Think the car is Honda VTEC everyday rev the car to 9000rpm. However, same as above if the car already clocked more then 200k mileage, then consider the damage as wear and tear.
Rectification = full overhaul around RM2000

As for the burning smell, sorry I can't smell over the internet. Neither can I see the situation from your wordings. However, since you got "smoking" issue, I'd take a bet on your leaking headgasket that engine oil leaks to exhaust manifold and the hot exhaust piap start vaporizing engine oil. If I were you, the car already in the workshop let mechanic finds out the burnt smell issue, instead of asking over the internet. I'm not magician, these are the EXPERIENCE I can share with you, and could be wrong also nod.gif

off topic note: iskazulka don't copy and paste this to any Kampro related engine pls. Kampro uses hydraulic valve train, so the hydraulic actuator jam also will cause huait smoke.

No need convert, sekejap rosak lagi yawn.gif If die die wanna convert, most accessories shop can do. But you don't expect the price to be cheap.

Window rack = 120/side(only if stock available)
Motor = 60/side
Master switch panel driver side = Ori 250, cap ayam 68
Passenger switch = Ori 150, cap ayam 60
Upah pasang + wayaring = 100up

I'm not sure how your door panel can fix the switches in. Might need to cut here patch there during the installation.
