Plug coil? TDC got goyang abit anot? Wait for it cool down like 15 minutes, try again see

David goh, wa ga lu gong, jit jun jia lat liao :cry:
We try to pasang new Renault ignition coil, new savvy ecu from proton sc.
Still cannot start the car. Looks like the hardware engine parts not rosaked .
Under savvy fuse box got a lot of wire, pomen try one by one wire using test pen.
But when goyang the wiring a bit, electric cannot went through. Seems like my savvy having wiring problems.

If I change all wiring in my savvy, how much does it cost?

From what I know, production line ady stopped at 2010, so u need to be sure its 2011. Price wise, in 2012 for old stock 2010 was calling 27k. So I'm guessing 22k is not a bad idea. Things to prepare as a Shawie AMT owner:

1) Servicing in Plotong aint cheap, not normal gear oil, must use back Renaumatic ELF oil, otherwise gebox rosak.
2) From what I know, even Plotong themself short of gebox replacement part. Be ready incase berakdown, car kena stuck in SC for 6 months, or sendiri void woranti send outside do. Take note AMT gebox repair cost, is an atomic bomb!
3) If u ready to spend 2k and change to manual transmission incase AMT rosak.
4) Must learn minimum technical knowledge to maintain the car. Servicing/imported parts is gonna costs € just like a BMW.
5) Minor fault is better to DIY replace/repair. Such as TDC sensor(crankshaft position sensor), clean totobodi, powahsteering suis. Those are the things that if u can DIY, u save a lot of moolah. If u think still within woranti send back to Plotong, be prepare for the 6 months wait for sparepart, and probably after 6 months they tell u they ordered wrong part and u had to wait anor 6 months

So, basically I believe any of us who lurk here long enough is even more qualified than any Plotong engineer in fixing a Shawie. Nonetheless, RM22k indeed tempting. If I got the juice, I think I'll buy & enjoy the AMT. Buy a full set of MT assembly and wait for after 5-6 years when AMT rosaked, I get to switch to MT and continue enjoy it for very long time to come

Your kes also 1st time sofar I've heard. Since pomen ady diagnosed its wayaring eh boonteh, might as well ask pomen kontiniu wayar it out lor. Shawie engine management harness should be around 800 iinm, provided if that's the oni thing that kacau lar. Pls direkly deal wt ur pomen better.

FYI, I bought the kar hor, wa eh reverse sensor pai ki liao. Change fuse lar, change the reverse paking sensor lar, change reverse gear suis lar, change beeper lar, change reverse bulp lar, hamik ranjiau related to reverse pun uah kah liao pun si beh settel. In the end, pull 1 more kabel direk from reverse suis sambung all the way back to reverse light, everything function properly, reverse sensor all working liao. This saids, original wayaring memang sudah kena gigit tikus liao

Finally found out the culprit make my car gila gila won't start was the Savvy meter (manual) failure.
Salute to plotong service centre taman Tampoi utama pomen Mr. Leong.

He almost gone crazy to find the broken parts through wires, fuses, relays and all the electric connectors during these couples of days.
Even go to borrow and buy the service manual and wiring diagrams from HQ. Nowadays hard to find such a good pomen.

Cost me around $400, $300 for the new Original Savvy Meter which order from KL sent by super fast courier and $100 for the labour.
$100 labour charge for 6 days check through wires ECU sensors.... That's dirt cheap.

I'm just wondering why a failed meter can causing car starting problems?
And also why a failed meter cannot be diagnosed by plugin OBD2 to computer?
I thought amt version was more relying on meter readings , but why manual version is also affected?

Anyway problem solved, my ride live and kicking again.

last time i cant start my car too. fuel pump not running thought already dead.
end up its the immobilizer problem. claimed under warranty

Your savvy is Hi-spec one?
I heard ppl from foreign Renault forums discuss about earth cable/ earth strap also affected start up problems.
Their kangoo 1.2 petrol version or Clio MK3 using d4f740 engine which quite similar to us. Their stock engine come with 2 earth cable, 1 is located from battery negative terminal connect to the chasis; while another one was a "w" shape with 3 flat head connect from bottom of gearbox to engine block and go to the chasis.
It's easily to corroded or snapped due to high heat and moisture come from engine.
Once broken, shit happened.
Just wonder do our Savvy got exactly same earth cable with their engine?
Did anyone lay down and check it out?

That's new to me Will pay attention to that. I also didn't know the meter will affect the engine start up also

After 2007 facelift, yes they came together with extra earth kabel as default accessories 1st model dun hab

Is like that har, my uncle hor he bought a Avanza last year lah.
But sometimes he lupa turn off engine and take out car key when sampai rumah teres wangsa maju sana lah.
He always left the car engine idling when he wanna buka pagar rumah.
And last week he banyak sway siao, 2 India guys hop on his car and drove off.
Sky quite dark cause It was midnight, he didn't saw that 2 guys face.
He direkly go balai polis report polis dulu, baru inform insurance company.
Sarjan polis: Dia dua orang ada pegang pisau atau senapang tak?
My uncle : Tak da
Sarjan: You ada nampak muka dia orang tak?
My uncle : Tak da. I turun kereta tapi engine tak mati, buka pagar rumah, dia 2 orang India naik kereta pandu lari.

Then when the guy from insurance datang, my uncle explain the whole story as what he told to the sarjan.
Then insurance guy fuk him kaw kaw, say him may not get covered by insurance , even what he say was truth.
How come like this har ?
Insurance cover theft , fire burn...but not hijacking?

Can i DIY a earth cable by China make Cap Ayam grouding cable kit?
Any effect? I heard Sawi quite sensitive to those electrical funky accessories.
