Hi. I Just bought a 2007 Proton Savvy AMT M-Line from a friend. I'm very new about this little car. Here's a little detail about it.
Year: 2007 | AMT | M-Line | Apple Green | 62k KM on the odometer
So far, I'm pleased with it. Good little car, I must say.
tq.

Tq bro david for the welcome. BTW, my dad has found a Renault / Savvy specialist workshop in Shah Alam. He has sent the car and this is what he has done. Unfortunately, I didn't go with him because I malas sikit (banyak sebenarnya) plus my dad saja nak test savvy. Dengar cerita dari kawan pun dia kata situ memang ada kedai yang boleh repair savvy. Total cost: RM120 What say you? Reasonable?

QUOTE(m.frea @ May 11 2014, 01:03 AM) thanks MR.Davidke for this info so it's only about outside design and the Spindles no problems improved like hard clutch pedal and coil pack although I've found 2005/06 savvy for good price (6xxx rm) and it has done 90 k so do u think its good deal bro BTW the seller told me its otr but I don't know what does that mean ?!! IMHO, ask the seller about the rear spindle. Have it been fixed or not? If no you can ask to reduce the price just to fix the rear spindle problem. the OTR price means the price is including insurance cover, processing fee to change the name on the geran by JPJ, puspakom inspection and roadtax (if the roadtax died already) Maybe some otai Shawie can add more / correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Nov 25 2014, 11:53 AM) Can tell here, no big issue anyways. Was originally an appointed admin in FB group by Adryan. Original intention was to keep everyone up to date real time instead of LYN slowpoke. Was posting & making new friends off & on. After a while, more & more non-LYN member joined the group. More post, more update. Things getting hard to keep up. Replying technical has gotten me handful. Either I don't reply, otherwise will make sure be the quality 1s. That's my style. Out of boringness, was trying to poke fun like usual. As an admin, I admit I made a mistake for not identifying the poster was female(which probably just browse through FB searching for technical assistance for this 1 time only), with tagging her male friend in the post. The male friend replied to me as a senile ******* that admin should get rid off due to my vulgar comment. I have removed my last reply, made a comment to apologize for my misbehaviour. Removed some TT pictures that's not supposed to be on the profile. Left a good bye note and left the group for good. Regardless, maintaining the page no longer fun for me. At least being a TS here in LYN made me feel like I have the RESPONSIBILITY to take care of our community. I supposed those who heartedly wanted to get along with fellow Shawie owners will come back LYN here & continue our friendship here. Just happen to know that those people are students of UIAM Gombak. They're doing masters right now. Plus, they are Indonesian students. So maybe they cannot understand the joke. For now, the group was like a desert...haha Aiyooo malu pulak aku nak mengaku aku budak UIA (siapa suruh bagitau sini..haha)

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Nov 27 2014, 10:39 PM) It's supposed to be LYN members only for that FB group, but ended up gone haywire. People inviting friends everywhere, and also others that does public enquiry joined the group. Can't stop it anyways, theres 3 admins before I resigned, so there you have it. May be less 1 admin will make it more harmony? Nox also left the group. Adryan is the one and only admin there. Btw, both of them also left the group already. Silent harmony. Hahaha..

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Nov 28 2014, 09:06 AM) Drive: always switch to manual during traffic jam when he's in KL. Practice what we've learned in JPJ exam, let the car infront moved away atleast 2 cars distance before engage gear to move forward. Do not stick to 1st gear & use brake to hold the car, leave it Neutral when car is not moving. This will reduce strain to accumulator pump. If kena cut Q, let them be by all means. Traffic jam aint going to go far anyways, most important is go easy on pocket. When cruising, always use auto mode. Go easy on gas pedal whenever change gear/upshift time. Prevent clutch cover/clutch plate being strained from high power transition. As a former Savvy AMT owner, this is a brilliant advice from many tips to take care of your AMT box. Plus, don't let anyone that doesn't know to use AMT drive that car. Especially in a car wash. The gearstick can be broken because people thought it behaves like a manual gearstick. A gentle push / pull is sufficient to change gear / change mode.

QUOTE(eugenecctan @ Mar 14 2015, 09:03 AM) Thanks for the reply. How about gear oil? For Renautech, are they charging expensive? Do you how much will it costs for the speed sensor? Thanks. For AMT box, you can use this for the gearbox. And this also for the AMT.

QUOTE(us9392 @ Mar 18 2015, 01:03 AM) Hello Sifu David Lately the manual gearshift going into first gear stuck, must move off from second gear. What can be done ? Also I would like to downgrade my rims to 14 inches , what specs must I buy for 14 inch tyres ( 185/60 or 175/55 ). Thank you sifu. About tyres, try to avoid 185/60 because that tire in that size can sagat daun pisang (which is the board inside the wheelarch) when you make a hard left / right / u-turn. Been there done that. QUOTE(Benjamin1213 @ Mar 18 2015, 11:57 PM) It's been awhile since i last visited here, good to see David around actively posting and educating the others. *Thumbs*. My ride is now looking for new owner, if any of you here are looking for a good decent condition unit feel free to drop me a PM. More than willing to provide you with more information. Cheers! Would you mind if I spread the words to some Savvy Facebook groups i.e Savoc or other Savvy owners' group? It will be better if you provide some pic & details.. :-)

If you want to use recommended oil by Renault, you may find Hairey CG Autoparts in Facebook. He lives around Setapak & Wangsa Maju in KL. If you're not in KL, then you can ask him to post them to you and bring them to your trusted magician for gearbox oil change.
Alternatively, you can use 4L of manual gearbox oil and 1L of ATF. There's a lot of recommendation by other Shawie AMT user i.e. normal Castrol manual gearbox oil paired with Honda ATF oil (just an example). Please consult with your magician or people in sparepartchop first.
