Not sure if any of you who had rooted kitkat got WRITE access problem with sdcard or not, i did and here's the fix:

yup all stock kitkat will have that problem, as google changed or restrict the way the sdcard is accessed.

the above mentioned method work for me as well

obvious improvement...

transparent status and nav bar (love it! makes the screen looks bigger)
battery indicator and battery stamina mode icon changed. for me i like it as it save more space in the status bar
notification bar changed. may need some time to get use to it
new themes
louder ring tone. so far my case only. dunno why some others is softer
some games will be displayed in full screen. the nav bar will be hidden

got some other settings also. but to me not so important

not only games, many apps have full screen mode as well, like movie player & photo viewer

I have no choice but to do a factory reset, I've done it earlier just now, now everything is STILL working fine. Also, once again, my apps data are all lost. I wanted to do a backup of all that using Helium app, but I just couldn't get it to work. Jeez, I was so fed up. I have to do everything again, like customizing my home screens and all. I have one last question here. Like what I'm facing, my micro USB charging port cover is not doing its job well these days. It is covered in the warranty? By the way, these are the 2 shots I took yesterday at the SONY shop in Mid Valley using the new SONY XPERIA Z1 COMPACT. I was rushing to leave, so I couldn't took my phone out and take the same shot to give everyone a comparison.

Just bought a Sony Xperia-M smile.gif

Would like to ask if there is any apps or widget that allow me to switch on the lights first and then switch on the camera so I can see through the screen without taking the photos?

I know Samsung Assistive lights able to do this but when I download other Torch or LED lights apps into my phone and switch it on, then switch on my camera, it will pop up msg saying "Camera Failed".

Any opinion or advise on the right widget and apps so I can switch on the lights first?

If you previously enabled ClearAudio+ and Dynamic Normalizer in the Sound Effects settings, recheck if the settings were reseted.

What are you try to do, you spam Z1, Z Ultra, Z/ZL, Z1 Compat and Z2 thread asking the same question.

Look at the small apps for flashlight (the bulb logo).

not sure about Xperia M but we do hv the option in Camera to turn on the lights first instead of just flash..

Xperia M have small apps, can install flashlight from google play.

Buy Nova, Apex, whatever launchers that suit you, modify your homescreen, then create a backup. Move the backup to the sdcard1. each time u format/restore, just restore backup. done.

and what u mean ur flap cover not doing its job properly? is it loose? mine also loose now. sigh.

If I'm not wrong the flashlight app will require root. I cannot confirm this but I think so lah cos I recall installing something like Flashlight or Torchlight and they needed something special. Not sure if my brain recalled wrongly LOL

Sorry guys, not trying to spam but I am looking for an apps which can turn on the lights before swtich on camera..I knew apps like Torch or Flashlight able to switch on the lights but once I turn on the camera, it will say "camera failed". However, in Note 3, there is Assistive light which work.

Anyway, jusy trying my luck here...
