Installed ihackers v4.1. So far so good. Love the option to have a true full screen on apps. Sometimes my fat fingers accidentally touch the nav bar buttons.

QUOTE(shaynewai @ Apr 16 2014, 01:42 PM) Sorry im just a noobie here Warranty is part of the difference. However you insinuated that AP have no quality control. But still, warranty that part is the main difference between ori and ap right? The general perception is that Ori have an advantage over AP in sense that warranty as part of after sales services is better. However I can say that some after sales services is way shittier than AP. AP phones comes from the same factory as Ori phones. The difference between them is how they arrive. Original comes through official channels and exclusive distributors. AP are phones that are originally meant for other countries that managed to be subjectively brought into Malaysia. That's why sometimes you see phones with other carrier logos like 3, Vodaphone, Verizon etc. Additionally phones are region locked, only unlocked when inserting the SIM of the particular country and registering with its local network for the first time, which of course could be bypassed. As mentioned, hardware is the same seeing it comes from the same factory(ies) I bought 2 z1s. One ori and one AP. No difference in quality and performance. As I've bought from this particular shop for ages, I trust them to honor their warranty. When it comes down to decision, it's up to your personal discretion. How comfortable are you with AP warranty in case shit does go wrong. *touch wood* |

QUOTE(karthik_bhavana @ Apr 16 2014, 04:52 PM) Never tried that but when the phone is overheating.. battery is reducing quite fast.. i can see the percentage dropping while using... :'( Some apps can cause your phone to overheat. I remember once I installed an app, it caused my phone to overheat to 70C+. Even after restart, and dalvik wipe. After I uninstalled it it went back to normal temps, around 40C |

QUOTE(ckchan @ Apr 18 2014, 07:45 AM) Totally. It's either these complainers don't know how to use their phone or they gotten a dud. On another note, stop spamming posts. You guys can quote all replies in a single post. This post has been edited by redlyfs: Apr 18 2014, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(sookk @ Apr 28 2014, 12:48 AM) After a long time of absence from the forum ... am back with the SmartBand SWR10 How accurate is it? How intuitive is the sleep tracker? [attachmentid=3948717] Early feedback (been using it for about a week now): - initial firmware sucks .... the device kept disconnecting from the phone - new firmware launched on 25 April fixed most problems and also added an auto night mode So what happens is that you need to download a software called "LifeLog" which allow you to track all sort of stuff: [attachmentid=3948720] Things like steps, where you been before, the weather, how much time you spent on entertainment, music, photos, etc. As a step counter, it works as advertised. But it does more than just that... you are basically recording your entire life in this software which probably brings up the next point... how safe is your data? I'm not too sure since the software sync all these info back to Sony Network (you can actually restore all your data after a hard reset). Planning to get one soon. Was looking into Jawbone or Fitbit earlier |

QUOTE(sookk @ Apr 29 2014, 01:05 PM) It's as accurate as any Fitbit Flex/Force and Jawbone. I used to own the Fitbit Flex .... the rubber strap on the SmartBand is actually more comfortable compared to the Fitbit .... furthermore the Force/Flex band causes skin irritation for certain users (not sure about the Sony .... but so far I'm ok). Thanks! That's the deal tipper I'm waiting for. I don't mind the fact there's no display. I'm actually looking for something to wear and forget about while getting proper tracking.Do remember that the SmartBand doesn't have any display (the Force and Flex does show you info on the band itself) ... and the Jawbone UP24 has longer battery life (SmartBand rated for 5 days). 30 minutes of charge will bring the band up to full 100%. The lovely thing about Sony products (apart from being waterproof with IP58 rating) is that you only need to carry your micro USB cable around. You can power up your headphones, phone, Smartband, smartwatch ... all the same cable |

I actually have the Lifelog installed. But without the band I won't be able to tell how deep the analysis is with the gathered quantified-self data.

QUOTE(sookk @ Apr 30 2014, 07:16 AM) Yes the disconnect problem is kinda weird as I experience the same problem as well ... Very randomly it will get disconnected but easily connected back by touching it to the phone with NFC .... Lesser on the new firmware So I bought one for RM309, hopefully arrive by next week. Would the disconnect pose any problems to accuracy, or the core stores all data until it syncs with Lifelog?Updates are happening without any problems for me... But you must remember that it will only update when you open up the lifelog app ... It will not update in the background . The pedometer count of steps are pretty accurate for me ... Especially comparing the step count on the fitbit and the smartband ... And I believe they track the walk/run based on how violently you move your arm since walking is normally slower pace compared to running |

QUOTE(sookk @ Apr 30 2014, 10:02 AM) That's a good deal ... where you got that from? Superbuy actually. Now it's priced at RM339. Even if it gets disconnected, its not a problem. Remember that the SmartBand stores data offline (not connected to phone) for up to 2 weeks before it starts over-writing older data. http://www.superbuy.my/shop/sony-smartwear...rranty/p/242194 |

QUOTE(ckchan @ May 15 2014, 03:46 PM) camera shootout! Z1 still standing strong even against this year's flagship Lol. I was just about to post this. Personally I'm disappointed with Z1's camera. I mean it's pretty good, but not as good as I thought it was. I was oversold on the G branding uhuhuhttp://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Camera-c...eria-Z1_id3694/ but fail big time in panorama shot... i myself have not use this feature b4. those who have use it, is it really that bad? QUOTE(ckchan @ May 15 2014, 04:47 PM) I guess. I mean.. It's G! http://www.sony-mea.com/microsite/dslr/09/gLens/ I've used Sony's G lenses before, the quality of these lenses are superior to any other lenses of its class. Not to mention way more expensive This post has been edited by redlyfs: May 15 2014, 05:20 PM |
