i got to agree Primax 3 is great.

I'm getting 500km with rm60 of fuel.(80% highway,20% city) Wira Thomas Cup 1.6A. almost 7yrs.

alright.. i do feel better in Primax 3.. but must actually test for a few tanks to confirm tat...

previously .. im getting like 420km for a tank .. RM70 .. lots of city drive.. but kind of low reverb it..

but this tank .. primax.. i reverb kau kau ... almost everytime change gear at least 4k rpm .. im getting 430km for a tank also .. amazing .. must try to drive slow first.. see wat happen ..

What's the fuel consumption of your car ? I prefer if you can give the long distance FC like highway driving. I wish can get comment from City, Jazz, Vios, Waja, Kancil, Kelisa, European...etc. If you can, also manual/auto, average speed, petrol brand, motor oil brand etc .


Me first :

Daihatsu Aura 1992 : RM 10 = 100 KM ( highway ). No aircond. Manual.

Average speed : 90 km/h ( highway ).

Petrol : Petronas.

Motor oil : Castrol M-tec 10W-30.

i think better compare litre with km... dont RM with km...
bcos outside selling cheap and expensive fuels... will be not accurate if use RM...

mine 1 : 1985 toyota 1600cc 4A-E engine caburator maunal
1liter = 10km+ , less aircon
average speed 100km/h, use castrol GTX2, shell unleaded(green)...

car - vios 2006 FL 100% stock
FC - 13.8km / liter
80% highway driving
petrol used - mobil F1
motor oil - toyota mineral oil

i'm lousy in calculating. this is the average FC from KL to ipoh

Toyota unser 1.8 auto EFi - rm90
Proton wira 1.5 auto carb - rm60
Nissan bluebird 2.0 auto EGI - rm45
Waja Campro 1.6 auto EFI - rm55

Speed for the car are average 110-120kph except for the nissan which is around 150kph. Personally i think Fuel brands doesn't contribute to low FC. It all depends on the engine management and the tendency of the driver to rev or floor alot.

Mine last friday tested

Proton Wira 1.6XLI 1993 : RM 20 = 181.6 KM ( 20% city + 80% highway ). With aircond. Auto.

Average speed : 80-100 km/h ( highway ).

Petrol : Petronas Primax 3

Motor oil : Fuch TITAN SuperSyn 5w/40.

km/l = 17.46km/L

Something wrong with your car.


1. Maybe you modify the engine ?

2. Maybe you drive excessively fast ?

3. Your ignition timing is way off ? Have to adjust it. Last time my ignition timing was way off and I can only manage RM 20 = 100 KM only.

4. You install huge car spoilers ?

5. Maybe combination of all the above ?
