What's the fuel consumption of your car ? I prefer if you can give the long distance FC like highway driving. I wish can get comment from City, Jazz, Vios, Waja, Kancil, Kelisa, European...etc. If you can, also manual/auto, average speed, petrol brand, motor oil brand etc .

Me first :

Daihatsu Aura 1992 : RM 10 = 100 KM ( highway ). No aircond. Manual.

Average speed : 90 km/h ( highway ).

Petrol : Petronas.

Motor oil : Castrol M-tec 10W-30.

Thank You all.

Something wrong with your car.

1. Maybe you modify the engine ?

2. Maybe you drive excessively fast ?

3. Your ignition timing is way off ? Have to adjust it. Last time my ignition timing was way off and I can only manage RM 20 = 100 KM only.

4. You install huge car spoilers ?

5. Maybe combination of all the above ?

You have to adjust your ignition timing at Proton service center. Won't cost much. Just engine tuning... Usually, the correct ignition timing is listed inside the cover of the car boot and the car manual. Change your spark plug first before you send your car for igniton timing adjustment. Anyway...I don't know what actually wrong with your car. This is only my guess...I could be wrong.

Yes...we must maintain our car well if we want it to be in good condition and low fuel consumption. We must service and maintain it regularly. We must change the motor oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plug etc regularly and at the proper time. You cannot simply put petrol and drive your car and forget about maintenance. Many ppl have the habit of poorly maintain their cars.

I do my own servicing, so maintenance is usually not a problem. I only send my car to my mechanic for major repair. Most ppl do servicing to mechanic so they keep on delaying the service. Another thing is that some mechanic are not trustworthy and they sometimes swindle their customers.

So Kazami...it is not to late...and start to service your car regularly from now on.

Some ppl buy auto gear cars and then they complain about high fuel consumption . It is normal for for auto cars to use more petrol . If you want maximum fuel saver , your only choice is to buy manual gear cars .

Are you out of your mind ? If tyre explode , how ? tongue.gif
