Check the gears ratio, they are only close ratio.
6-speed gearbox is needed if the tuned engine has narrow powerband bike.
You'll need to run dyno on every gear, to decide if you need it.

Example narrow vs wide powerband, why RGV and 125z need 6-speed:
125z - hp: 17.5ps/8000rpm - torque: 16.1 kgf-m/7500rpm
RGV - hp: 15.5ps/8000rpm - torque: 15.0Nm/7000rpm
LC - hp: 11.33ps/8500rpm - torque: 11.65Nm/5500rpm

@Alexei, thanks for the info dude.
I did a quick calculation based on 80/90 tyre. With standard sprocket 39-15, seems to be going quite fast at 11000rpm shift point.

@Crappy123
thanks for the sharing dude.

Hmm.. really need dyno to check the powerband.
From butt feel, the 175cc engine should have very wide powerband. 4th gear also can accelerate uphill at 4krpm. 4 speed enough ady i think.

btw, I did a quick test again today (with NOB1 SSS exhaust meant for 135cc).

1km @135km/h
400m @ 113km/h

looks pretty good. My custom pipe for this engine/cylinder head combo is coming within 1 - 2 days, don't know how much better it will perform drool.gif

charge-n-goFrom the looks of it, SSS has low torque boost, compared to other NOB1 pipes...

@Alexei

yes, the downpipe diameter is small, about 25mm OD. Compare to standard LC pipe, 3mm bigger only. Based on some formula (can google "primary pipe diameter calculation"). It helps the standard 135cc Diasil to push higher, but once using 175cc, exhaust gas is too much for it to handle, not to mention the increased valve size + pnp head.

The newer pipe design has 29mm OD and 150mm shorter muffler (about 2/3 of original muffler size). Also have a trumpet 29mm --> 37mm going into the muffler.

I plotted a torque curve based on butt dyno. Not so smooth of course, just a description of power/torque characteristic now.

[Can try use a stopwatch to time the acceleration to calculate a more accurate dyno. Something like, on 3rd or 4th gear, full throttle until max RPM, and calculate time taken to increase 10kph.
alexeiscary to use stopwatch with 3rd and 4th gear, speed is too fast tongue.gif

So, 2~3mm and different length of ~10cm can affect difference of 2000 peak RPM.
You're shorting 15cm and sizing up by 3mm may hit the sweet spot.

The trumpet, will reduce the peakiness of the pipe, slightly more suited for daily use.
Perhaps, you may want to consider adding resonance chamber to boost low RPM torque, like FMF bomb or Bajaj Exhaustec.

Look forward to your updates.
thanks a lot for the calculation.

The FMF powerbomb concept really works well, I tried on Kelisa and most of the exhaust on my friend's car over this 3 years. I call it bazooka system (car needs a longer version compare to bike). After getting the custom pipe, I can self-customize again at the car exhaust shop i used to go thumbup.gif

I didnt measure the UMA racing cam. Tried a hi-speed 330 cam before, very high-rev (power comes after 7000rpm), So I am guessing UMA is about 250/290, since the power curve is pretty close to standard (225/275) with better top rpm pull.

stroke (58.7mm) 2.311023622
bore (62mm) 2.440944882
valvEX (19mm) 0.748031496
cam (BBDC) : 45
cam (ABDC) : 65
cam open : 185

btw alexei, just noticed a stupid mistake. It is a trumpet going into carburetor, not exhaust, LOL. sorry for the confusion.

thats why so expensive.

by the way, any one used a LCv2 5s black gold with Gold RB 522 rim?

Whenever it is loose.

If taken care very well, can last up to 20,000 km.
My case, 8000 km need to change.
