People using #@$ definitely have their own reasons. If you think you can mention those names and without getting lawsuit, why not be the first one to do it? I'd like to see that.

And what's the point of you quoting me twice? Showing you more clever?

does poor working enviroment and package count as chinaman?
~work mon-sat
~sat work full day
~annual leave 8days
~dirty and dusty enviroment
~if company decide to take an off day they will deduct from your annual leave
~timely lunch hour 1 (1min late is late)
*
Finally I found out I'm not the only one who need to work 6 days per week and only 8 AL. And just deducted AL by company during CNY sad.gif

Hi guys,

Please bear with my story and thanks. I have a question and would like to hear opinion from you guys. I am a fresh graduate Comp Sc (fresh out Dec 2015) got a job as a support engineer in a cool nice company (3 months only). 10/10 for working environment, no office politics at all.

The basic salary is good and since i am a support i usually have to work during public holidays and stuff. I am not complaining as the more the public holidays the more allowance i receive and the recent one was Feb CNY (public holiday working allowance) this year i got a huge pay 5K+ which is damnnnnnnnnnn good.

But the thing is i am not passionate with what i do, i am more interested in developments, testing rather than being a support and facing god damn annoying customers (not a call center).

So i have been looking for jobs, and one i found was a dev in Y3ll R3s3arch where the ad looks good because they emphasize on learning and bla2 which looks good in my eyes. But reached this thread and found it was listed as a CHINAman comp. cry.gif

I went from 1st to last page but no reviews of the comp. So should i apply there, i dont mind the pay as long it is reasonable, i just want something that i like to do rather than waking up everyday for the sake of going for the job with no interest.

If Y3ll is not good, could you guys kindly suggest somewhere nice to start off as a fresh grad java developer or software tester (writing scripts etc) in KL/Selangor area?.

Also can i know is a support engineer career advancement good?. Just fresh out need opinions, experience from experts. confused.gif

haha thanks guys.

Since you've found some negative reviews on the company, try to PM the person why they consider that company that you wanted to join is a Chinaman company to them? Else maybe you could try and search through google for more information. Sometimes there might have some information that you needed.

Last resort would be opening a thread in Jobs & Careers and get people to comment on the company. laugh.gif

I think you should stay at your current company a little longer before jumping ship.

You shouldn't stay because your future interviewers will question why you want to jump into development when you started a year of support. Your salary will probably be the same as an entry-level grad as well. In othet words, don't get pigeonholed into a support role for future employers to excuse their low salary offer to you. They will think that your dev. skills will have stagnated because you weren't doing development for the past year, which isn't really too far-fetched to say.

Well you are right. I did not think of it in this perspective. I actually have started applying for jobs this morning because i really lost the interest/passion to perform support role. Mostly because of the organizations/companies which are our customers are d*cks lol.

Not being racist or what, but companies which are based in india and employing india's indians are the shittiest ones to deal with.

This is from my short experience.

Thanks you all for your opinions, i really appreciate it guys.

Mind to further elaborate? That company is somewhat like a recruitment agency isn't it?

Hello, the list that the fellow forumers provide are merely a guideline for us to see and think twice to join. If you think you can handle the company, you can go ahead and do so. It's not a MUST AVOID AT ALL COST company list. laugh.gif

They are a BPO. Salary confirm under market rate. If in any case that they need to pro rate your salary, they will divide your salary by 28/30/31 days instead of your supposed working days for that month. If you are sick and have to take MC, they will force you to submit MC serial number before 10am. They will really scrutinize which clinic did you go to get your MC. If it is not in their list, they will call the clinic for confirmation. If they are not satisfied with the answer they will consider you as AWOL and deduct your pay for that day.

Please add Toshiba TEC Malaysia to the list.

The mentality of the heads are chinaman. Especially the HR head named Cindy Yow. Squeezing employee. I think one of the reason is that, these Heads grew up with the company, so they didn't get to see the world. Sticking to their beliefs and their cocoon mentality, thinking of ways to work employees to the max yet at the same time trying to appear generous. FAIL.

Didn't expect Brandt International made it to the list. It was a recruitment agency isn't it? No wonder the staff there don't have the follow up skills with the candidates. Totally cannot harap the recruiter there.
