QUOTE(faytleingod @ Apr 14 2014, 09:39 PM) Hi all, Hi all... little help here? Received a sms from Citi: Complimentary 3D2N stay @ Anantara resort in Koh Samui/Phuket. Call to 03-xxxxxxxx. Called to them & they call me back using Singapore line They claimed to be genuine company tie-up-promo with Citi. Offered 3D2N complimentary excluding tax (around SGD$190) 1) How true is this stuff? 2) If it's true, what's the 'catch' ? |

QUOTE(Andrew G @ May 3 2014, 11:01 AM) Never interested into Citibank's credit card, as they're very tricky and less benefits. Why U Always giving All the Negative Points of Views on How Bad of this Bank, How Worst of that Bank Credit Card from: Citi, HSBC, UOB, RHB, OCBC, HLB, SCB Thread... Semua ALL U Taruk KAW-KAW, tiada Satu pun U Cakap Baik punyai... Example: * Cash back needs to be accumulated until RM50 or above to be eligible for credited into the statement. * Rewards category needs to be renewed yearly at RM100/per category from 2nd year onward to be eligible for its 5X rewards points. * High annual fees and not automatic/easily waive-able. (Who is so stupidly idiot to want to pay annual fees nowadays?) * GST service tax almost 99% as not waive-able product or service items. (Whereas many other banks out there who can easily waive their GST or annual fees or BOTH!!) Note: Definitely won't apply/hold for any Citibank's credit card, unless for its 100% free gift/rebate WITHOUT any term and conditions. (Beware of their small-prints of T&C, as most their free gifts need some minimum HIGH amount of spending within fixed allocated period of durations, and added with "First come, First serve" basis.) What I can Say to U: Nothing is Perfect even the Best : MBB2Cards Treat Points also come wtih 3 Years Life Span... This post has been edited by fly126: May 3 2014, 10:16 PM |

It's not as you mentioned as the "negative feedback" in the forum here, as it is the facts indeed. Why not try to look/absorb it at the good side instead, where this can educate more forumers/new credit card's user here to avoid tricky or less benefits credit cards?? Note: The truth of facts are always hard to be swallowed / accepted. (Just sharing here anyway!!) |

QUOTE(Andrew G @ May 3 2014, 11:27 PM) For your information, AMEX's credit cards were still not widely accepted in our country here currently. FYI, I do have MBB2 cards & I think currently now the Amex are Welcome to Most of the Merchant/Shopping Mall in Malaysia... Then if travelling, in the airport when buying perfume/cig whatever just ask the cashier to split the payments so you have 3 receipts. Then get a free taxi home when arriving in KL |

Even though U Not Active the Card yet still You have to Pay $50 GST... As GST is Charged once the card is Approved & Not necessarily activated or not. According to Custom Dept, only those Renewed card but cancelled within 3 months and Not use the New card is eligible Not to pay GST. The GST (Government Sales & Service Tax) can NOT Waive by the Bank, it is Collected by the Government and the Banks enforce it on behalf of the Government. I wonder Why, If You Really Don't Need the Card why Applied at the 1st place...??? This post has been edited by fly126: May 6 2014, 10:04 PM |
