Received my Clear Visa card today. When I logged in to the Citibank online, noticed that my Citibank Ready Credit is activated. But I never receive any CRC card only the Clear Visa card. Can cancel the Citibank Ready Credit?
*
Are U Sure You have Never Applied Ready Credit just sign up for Clear Card Only & Apply Online or Applied thru Agent...??? hmm.gif
Then, You Should Called to Complain with Customer service to Cancel, just said You Never apply the Ready Credit have them to Cancel for You if You Don't Told them- the Reason that: Agent got Curi -curi Ticked Ready Credit on Your Apps, You Will be Billed RM200 Service Charge for Immediate Ready Credit Cancellation Without holding It a Year ... doh.gif

As Sometimes the Agent curi-curi Tick on Our Apps as We X Know... So that they can Earn extra Commision, it's an Unethical Practice, if they're Caught on Doing this for Sure kena Buang Kerja, with No Excuse... doh.gif

Hi all. May i ask what is the cc limit that Citibank give normally ?? As i got RM18,000 limit for my first cc with CB. I apply for clear card and i went to take the card and was shock when i see the limit.

I got normal MBB 2 card which i use for more than 3 years and cc limit only RM8k. I apply clear card for buy one free one and also overseas trx as i always travel. Anyone encounter same issue.. weird.
Wonder can ask them make the limit lower.
*
Your 1st CC Citibank CB Plat. with RM18K CL, Not Bad... brows.gif & Just get An Additional Card (Clear Card)...??? hmm.gif

Usually,
the Credit Limit will be 2 or 3x of Your Monthly Salary as 1st Comer (with No Credit History) & Current Cardholder or Ppl with Credit History will get Higher CL as they (Bank) will Evaluate Your Apps with a Check on Your CCRIS Report: the Past Credit History or CL of Your Others Bank CC as Reference to the Bank... Before They can Determine Any Credit Limit on Your Card... whistling.gif

FYI, Citibank Usually a High CL Giver If Compare to Other Bank & Of Course You can Request to Lower the CL with Just a Call to CS... nod.gif

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 1 2014, 02:45 PM)
yep, i got the af waiver last month for both principal and supp cards.
these cashback cards for good for petrol and groceries - as long as u get af waiver.
i also hold the rewards card which carries no af; i use for anything that does not get cashback, just get points.
i wud do the same. as said by many incl me repeatedly, it is pointless to carry the cashback card w/o af waiver.
a typical spender won't get enough cashback to cover the af, a total waste of time.

how they waive af or don't has never been made clear, they always say it depends on promotion period or not but i doubt it's that simple.
i am quite sure they grant af waivers to customers who over time have shown on their records to consistently spend enough and pay on time everytime, among other things.

Same here... Me Also having CB Plat. & Rewards Plat. with Citibank blush.gif

last couple of pages say a lot of cardmembers can't get af waived these days. like i suspected, they now adopt of case-by-case attitude for af waiver, and pretty much no gst rebate at all.

for easy reference, the charges table, before gst:

Citibank more Stingy now, Unless you're a Big Spender It's X Worth to Most Ppl an Average Spender if need to pay AF + GST just Enjoy the Card Benefits sweat.gif If They Charging me AF by next year I Would like to Cancel their Card also yawn.gif

Anyway It's Good to have Cards with Lifetime Fee Waiver like, MBB2Card, OCBC Tit., Hassle free rolleyes.gif
