Hi sorry to hear. Try 2 hours then.
If not, maybe something is wrong with hardware.
All the best.

I guess it should be something wrong with the hardware since the charger and the phone remains

Has anyone experienced the random reboots even after the update?

I never had that issue previously but now, it has rebooted 4 times in total randomly.

try a clean update, meaning using software to reupdate the phone once more, I've had the same problem as your's too last time when i update through phone itself... Its really F-king annoying..

one thing 1st, remember to copy out all your precious data before performing the clean update, It gon rub away all your current data

Hope you can solve it smile.gif

Yeah, really hate it if the OTA update isnt clean.

Well after backing up and having war with my PC and the Lumia Recovery tool (driver missing ect, fixed with windows update). Its finally downloading and will flash in a bit. Hope it will be fine then.

Then again im glad that Lumias are rather easy, compared to having to root la, download drivers, more software, Rom and a long procedure. Helped a friend with her 1+1. Phew~

Finally thank you ><

Update

Tried Lumia and Windows recovery tool. The files on server are outdated. Downloaded firmware, wont install after restarts, reinstalling. Give up. Did a hard reset and hope nothing goes wrong. MS must be too busy with W10 to update the files

Update tried a different computer and cable, worked after that, dont know if cable problem or pc issue on the previous computer.

Lumia 920 unresponsive touch screen issue.

This morning I found out that the touchscreen is not working anymore. Usually when this happened, I will press on the camera button and the touchscreen is back to normal. But today its not normal anymore. I believe the phone is ok because when I touch the buttons everything works but the touchscreen is the only issue.

If I replace the digitizer, will it help or I need to change the board or something else? If it is only digitizer's fault, I already search ebay for replacement.

Kindly advice please sad.gif

Hmm too bad. Maybe there is a loose connection between battery, this issue was present on some phones that made it randomly reboot. If youre adventurous enough you can try disassembling it and adding a small piece of paper or card below (between battery and phone housing), then check connection of the battery cable. For reference Lumia 920 disassembly.

Hi there, sorry to hear you have such an issue.
Have you tried a soft reset? (power + volume down together) for 15 seconds or until it vibrates.
If it works after that then maybe its software related.
You may try using the Windows Phone recovery tool to clean flash it.
Note : IT WILL DELETE ALL DATA, Please do a backup of your important files.
Also you must use the original cable (not some cheap or pasar malam geh, or it your phone wont be detected), if it fails to detect try a different usb slot, if it still fails, try a different computer.

All the best and keep us posted.

glad to see the lumia 920 family still living strong~ well I had encountered unresponsive screen before and doing a soft reset did helped, try to see is any new installed app is causing the problem by uninstalling new app, if this doesnt help, back up all your precious data and try a hard reset...

If none of these help, I guess its hardware issue and you might have to spend some coins..

All the best!

I've done the soft reset and the hard reset but it seems that the screen is still untouchable. Based on my experience with android phone before its the digitzer problem. But LUMIA i've read somewhere that when the screen is not responsive the board or something need to be replace. Is there any other solution?

Really hope that this phone can survive until the windows 10 update for it. Wanna try win 10 in phone huhu...

Update, the phone is working again. I juz left it not charging and depleted the battery. Then I juz try charging it with hopes that its working again and it works. But I'm afraid to use it as regular phone in case the touchscreen is unresponsive again.
Any idea to avoid the issue in the future??

I dropped my phone from waist height. Now the capacitive navigation button wont vibrate anymore when pressed. Tried to toggle the vibrating option on and off too but to no avail.
Faulty already? Or got some loose connection?

Chill bro. Go to settings > touch > off Navigation bar (it will ask to reboot, select ok)
After reboot go back to settings again and on then it will ask to reboot again.
After that it should be fine. Give it maybe 5- 10 minutes if it doesn't kick in right away.

By the way, I have a question.

Does your 920 heat up considerably while on data? I dont even bother gaming.

I stay on 3G but damn almost every time i use data it goes berserk.

P.s If yours doesnt let me know what carrier and plan you're using.
