It clocks in at 1150 MHz (equivalent to Zotac AMP! and Palit Jetstream), making it one of the fastest in our market. At RM1199? What's there not to like? biggrin.gif GTX 770 is now priced so well, guess can now start including in Nvidia cards when recommending rig builds. thumbup.gif

Still strongly suggest to get from our local seller. If DOA, or need to claim warranty, you'll get a big headache.

GTX780 Ti mostly they wanna cater to those people who need the more powerful compute ability of the titan. Also at the same time can play games.

Unseen83, at least wait for GTX880 lar hahhah

Actually the compute capability of GTX 780 / 780 Ti is crippled, and is actually geared towards normal gamers. biggrin.gif Titan / Titan Black on the other hand has full capability, and with a significantly higher price tag as well. sweat.gif

Depends on what GPU you're using now. Although release of the new high end GTX series is already imminent. Nvidia probably delaying it since the GTX 780Ti still is king of the hill atm.

In raw power I still think the King pin is still in 1st place. Speaking of the titan black, the amount of bang for a buck concept makes you think more than twice to even consider it.

You're running at non air-con room? How is your cable arrangement inside your casing?

I am running the same card as yours, Asus 760 DCUII and max temp is only 69C at BF4. Non air-conditioned room. Fans are running at stock (auto). I suppose 80C is very unusual and already on the high side. The highest I ever observed was around 72C running 3D Mark.

And no, DCUII cooler does not expense the hot air directly to back of your casing. The hot air is simply expensed and then circulated back into your case, as most axial fan coolers do. That's why it's important to have a very good casing airflow. But GK104 is not known to have a very high thermal output, meaning it will not heat up your casing/surroundings.

Depends. Reference GTX 780 actually uses a vapor chamber, but as it has a single centrifugal fan configuration (blower), the heat is dispensed to the outside of your casing. Some other vapor chamber based coolers (e.g Sapphire Vapor-X) actually uses axial fans, and the hot air is dispensed and circulated back into your casing.

l read up that reference will blow the heat outside of the chassis by the card itself instead of dispense heat into the chassis thus reference usually hotter nod.gif

You're correct. That's why reference cards (with blower style cooler) is very suitable for small (ITX) builds, since it does not heat up your casing. The hot air is expensed (almost entirely) outside of the casing.

It's actually harder to design a reference (blower) cooler, since manufacturer needs to balance between thermal and acoustic footprint. And there is only a single centrifugal fan, which usually blows out a lot of air, but also runs very loud. This is an area where Nvidia currently excels at, as you can see the Titan-style cooler used on reference 780 / 780 Ti / Titan / Titan Black is rather efficient compared to the horrible reference cooler used by AMD in its Hawaii based cards. And also the GK110 is a much more efficient chip (due to the Kepler microarchitecture) compared to Hawaii.

Cost. Manufacturer will hardly want to create a new design (even just black paintjob) just for one card, and for one that may actually sell the least.

Vapor chamber still remains one of the best cooling solution, especially for single fan blower. Why so skeptical over vapor chamber? biggrin.gif Vapor-X and supposedly even Tri-X also uses vapor chamber technology. laugh.gif

Usually, on stock settings, the GTX 780 will run at max 80 - 81C due to the GPU Boost 2.0 requirement (default temperature target).

It's not available locally as at the moment there is no distributor in Malaysia.
But overseas should be selling this card for around $700 USD. nod.gif

GALAXY might not be as well known as ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA but it does produce some innovative products such as HOF series of graphics cards and PSUs. They are reliable and have been a favorite brand by overclockers worldwide to break world records.

Usually, on stock settings, the GTX 780 will run at max 80 - 81C due to the GPU Boost 2.0 requirement (default temperature target).
*
Just now I adjust Asus GPU Tweak: Power Target (%) from stock 100 to 80, and now the temperature maintain maximum 75-77'C, previously was 80-81'C.

currently a few brand attract me..zotac gtx760 amp edition..MSI gtx760 twin frozr gaming and asus gtx 760 direct CU2 OC..

most review say that their performance is the same but asus win in cooler and more quiet..price also win by rm200..is it worth it to get Asus just for that?? or Asus got other feature that make it more expensive than other brand??

I am using the Asus GTX 760 you mentioned. Comes with a gpu tweak software which you can adjust the power/clock setting.
And the price is within my budget.

I have Asus GTX 760 DCUII OC and from the two 760s that I have owned before (I also had Zotac 760 AMP!), the Asus version is clearly superior in every area. For more info, you can check out my review on the Asus card here. Unfortunately, it is also very pricy. sweat.gif

I would personally recommend you to consider these brands:

1. Gainward GTX 760 Phantom - RM845
2. Palit GTX 760 Jetstream - RM889
3. Leadtek GTX 760 OC - RM899
4. MSI GTX 760 TF4 - RM979

* Prices are referenced from lingloong (Garage Sales)

If you can live with slightly higher temps and possibly lower boost clock speed, can consider Zotac GTX 760 AMP! as well. They come with 2 + 3 years warranty, unmatched by any other cards stated above.

thx for everyone's advice..will continue to study before i buy smile.gif

Actually, please don't get me wrong. There is NO problem with the temperature, as the GPU is designed to boost up to 80C, as per the temperature target defined by Nvidia. So the GPU will boost as high as possible while remaining within the temperature threshold of 80C. Cards with better cooler of course will be able to boost higher, but still remain much lower than 80C. That's what I observed with my Asus GTX 760. Max load is only 68 - 69C. biggrin.gif

If you want you can go hunt VR Forums in Singapore. I can ask my friend to find for you. I've seen tons of people selling good condition 780 Lightnings. Almost got one myself in December.

But yeah, hate it when prices go up right before the fair, so when they give discounts it looks like we are saving when we arent.

Unfortunate, their salesman said they really just got one sample today but a person just directly buy that samples notebook
they only give me flayers which I can't see clearly the sticker.only the spec it stated at the flayer

as expected icon_idea.gif but the mistake are too critical, that is a huge gap between 720m & 840m sweat.gif

Yes, it is possible. According to Asus, they've worked closely with Nvidia to enable the world's first GTX 760 that can actually run in quad SLI mode, four GPUs in two PCI-Express slots.

If it's me I would just get the fastest single card GPU (GTX780 Ti), watercool it for the best performance. There was one guy in anandtech forums complaining microstutters on his 780 Ti SLI which doesn't exist if he run on just one 780 Ti.

Yes, it should be fine. If you're conservative, you can actually read about what other users encountered, here.

Best as in the fastest GTX 770?

For a nice balance between one of the fastest around, with reasonable price, can consider Gainward GTX 770 Phantom, RM1199.

Could you suggest one with 4GB of VRAM? I'm considering getting one since I play Skyrim with loads of mods and I hear 2GB isn't sufficient.

Either the GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB or the EVGA GeForce GTX 770 DUAL SuperClocked 4GB would do you fine. The EVGA would be a bit costly though.

No green LED beside. biggrin.gif It should be at the very least on par, if not faster than Toxic 280X. Do note that it has been factory overclocked to 1150 MHz, so this should give it an even further boost compared to reference 770.

But if you're thinking of moving from Toxic 280X to GTX 770, I would say is not worth it. Something like 290 would be more worthwhile.

The Gigabyte one is around RM1300-1400 depending on seller. At that point I'd rather you top up another RM100 and get a Non-reference AMD 290 instead like the Powercolor PCS+ 290 or the MSI 290 Gaming. All 290s come with 4GB VRM standard. And faster than the GTX770.

typically would be start showing artifact, overheat, throttle, but in ur case u just upgrade to windows 8 right!? should be driver incompatible, uninstall ur current driver, go to the webby l previously gave u, install windows 8 version, then only u check whether the problem pressit!?

Where you bought it from? IINM, most shops only cover the 1st year, after that any courier charges sending the card back may be charged to you. If all else fails, you may contact zhen^wei (Ideal Tech) which offers warranty claim services.

Need advice from Nvidia sifus. I have been using AMD for past 3 years, time for me to switch camps for a change.

Currently using a 6870 and plan to upgrade to GTX760. I do not over clock nor do I plan to SLI.

Whats the cheapest 760 available? I don't really care for games included as I would probably sell it to get back the capital.

Survey in garage sales shows that the Zotac seemed to be priced most competitively at RM799 with bundled games. I was thinking to sell the games to lower the entry price.

Is that a good idea? Or is there a reason why Zotac is sold so cheap?

Any other brands priced as competitively?

Cheapest would be either Zotac or Leadtek GTX 760 at around RM799. Do note that these are reference models though.

Ermm...probably the reason is that most other manufacturers overprice their products. tongue.gif Zotac, Leadtek, Palit and Gainward are priced quite reasonably in our region, fortunately. If you can top up a little more, I would recommend you to go with Gainward GTX 760 Phantom (check out lingloong from Garage Sales) as it is faster clocked and comes with an excellent cooling solution. It does however come with only 2 years warranty, as compared to Zotac's 2 + 3 years warranty.

Sometimes reseller may import their goods from other sources (not from official distributor), so the main distributor might do a check to verify if the stock is through them or not. If it's not from them, they are not obliged to honor the warranty for the card.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Any reason why I should go for the Phantom, I read reviews seems that the gains are marginal <10% although it is clocked higher.

Reason why I initially chose Zotac is mainly for the games included. I don't need it which is why I thought if I sold it, at least I can technically say I paid less for the card.

So in terms of value/performance actually improved if I sold the said games.

Does the Gainward or Palit comes with games?

You're right, the gain is marginal but at least you do get a quieter card with better temps. smile.gif

If these are of no concern to you, then by all means do go with the reference card. With bundled games and a 5 year warranty, it's really very hard not to like. laugh.gif AFAIK, only Zotac comes with the Splinter Cell bundle. The other brands do not come with games if not mistaken. Best to double check with reseller. smile.gif

strange, y warranty become cash out/ top up unless you are trading in which is not in your case. hmm.gif
you should insist of getting RMA gc instead of cash out/top up.
i suspect they get smth better in return and trick you for top-up?

Mpower can't do 3-Way SLi, Only 3-Way Crossfire.
For SLI 2-Way is the max.

Only Xpower can do 3 or 4-Way SLI.

MSI OC is 1085 MHz (stock 1020 MHz), Palit Storm Dual-X is 1202 MHz. So if roughly compare the two cards, the Palit should still be around 10% faster.

Anyway, either card would be a good choice. biggrin.gif

Unlikely, since by default the core is OC'ed so high already. Not much overclocking room left. tongue.gif

close to GTX 660 performance.... good enough actually

people had been complaining 750 Ti in stock isn't beating the 650 Ti boost.... until palit released this monster (the other should be from zotac)

and the fact that it uses less than half the power from 650 Ti boost, great job nvidia

order the Msi version for the 3 yrs warranty.
and about OC, the headroom is very little due to control implement by nvidia. else, we can get a very good clock further.

cannot. only dual. coz i'm not going to tri/sli base on current performance. you need the mobo above Hero to do Tri GPU-setup.
the performance gain aint worth the $$ spent on 3rd gpu also, at this moment.

go here. and select Tri/Quad SLI for your preference to see what mobo from asus support it.
ROG_Series_Products

seems like only Extreme series able to support Tri-GC-setup and above.

your best time to get ROG extreme with discount at this time. Pm our ubi kentang fast.

Guys. I need serious help. Rig spec in sig.
If i use drivers higher than 331.82, my pc even in desktop has some serious random freezing issue. I really wanted to use newer driver due to thief optimization. Tried latest one last night, still random freezing. Factory oc.

if without using software, head to safe mode of Windows then from there, Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs\Nvidia files

then reboot and reinstall

though i would suggest using softwares to permanently remove older drivers. cant recall software though, i rarely get this prob sweat.gif

RM 1k+ cant really rmb

pointless for me to go for powerful high end gc now because my e8400 will bottleneck it

just settle with 750Ti now until i get my i7 4770k next month, and upgrade to GTX 8 series when they're out

Bros,

i have a asus engtx460 768MB gc which was running superb.

after the latest driver (335.23) update thru geforce experience, my display has this weird green lines and win7 aero is disabled.
device manager shows the gc with error 43.

i took the gc apart (no warranty d), cleaned the heatsink, removed old paste and added new thermal paste, and put it back...same issue.
then i rollback driver, still same issue. all the drivers dont remove the green lines sad.gif even win standard driver

but if i use the mobo graphic card its ok but no aero la.

i never has problem with any component in the pc, all mantap. MW3 can play online no lag, full HD movies cantik.

can someone help me and tell me what can possibly be the issue? or any other steps to try.Thank you bros smile.gif

PS: also i heard this card is the anak tiri of the gtx460 cards from asus - http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/ENGTX4602DI768MD5/

PC Spec:

Mobo: H61M-P31 (G3)
RAM: kingston value RAM 2GB DDR3
CPU: Intel G2020 2.9 Ghz with standard heatsink and fan
HDD: WD 500Gb Green
DVD: Samsung DVDRW
GPU: Asus ENGTX4602DI768MD5

My current PC spec :

i5-3470
4gb RAM
120gb SSD Corsair SF3
GTX550ti
Acbel PSU 650watt
20" led monitor

I'm stuck in between to change my graphics card either GTX760 or GTX750ti. Recent game is Titanfall, should I go for GTX760 4gb incase I may change my monitor to full hd?

mine is set that when i reached 80C, my fan will gradually change until max 65%

that one i can notice cause its rather noisy but if im too immersed in the game, i usually ignore the noise

just that suddenly performance drop like heck, solid 60FPS drop <30FPS, cant even play properly then i go check HW Monitor

One of the best priced GTX 770 would be Gainward GTX 770, around RM1199. Sadly, it is above your budget. sad.gif

Though all is not lost yet, for about RM1000, you can get the Gainward GTX 760 Phantom instead, at RM845 (lingloong @Garage Sales). thumbup.gif Btw, what is your PSU?

They upgraded the graphic in the latest patch, i think my current GC cant handle it anymore, before update i played with max effect.and my char never got delay when i cast skill, but now My FPS only manage to stay at 40-45 with med setting... T_T
If im in a map/dungeon more than 5-7 players, my FPS drop to 10-12...... my character skill got delay n lagging badly, like 2-3 sec...~
Even NPC/monsters also load 3-4 sec in game....(is it my GC problem? time to upgrade?).@_@
So my frd suggested me to upgrade 770.

Not exactly 2Ghz but close enough. Would love to see how EVGA/K|ngP|n counter that. brows.gif

hey guys, i'm planning to build a new PC soon, and i've went to the shop and also did some reading online...just wanna see the general's opinion of the following GCs:

option 1: Gigabyte GTX 750i, 1 fan, small, can put in a small size tower
option 2: Gigabyte GTX 760, pretty big GC, need to place it into a big size tower

As i live in HK, and in a cramped space, i personally want to save some space for my system unit, and yet, i would like to get a GC which will eventually stand the test of time (well, maybe at least 4 years, hopefully), which of the above would you recommend, and if there are any better suggestions, i welcome any...so far, budget isn't really a big issue i supposed. smile.gif

mid-range casing could fit most of the gc, unless it is the super long high end one like my lightning which force me to change casing shakehead.gif l would recommend gtx760, if budget allowed, a 770 should be able to last 3 years + IMO nod.gif

thanks for your comments.

gtx760 would have me gone with the mid-range casing, i will need to go and have a discussion with the shop. Maybe i'll check whether there are any 770's in stock in HK or not, I didn't see any of those earlier....and if i were to get the GC, would you recommend Asus or Gigabyte? cause it's what i've seen here so far....doesn't seem like any other manufacturer's out there here.

i'll look around for now, but i will most probably get the computer from the shop anyway....let them build it for me and so on....but if gtx770 is available, i might have to look at the price, cause i saw that there's a huge price jump between 760 and 770

It is basically a GTX 750 Ti vs GTX 650 Ti (downclocked). Normal GTX650 TI is 20% slower according to TechPowerUp chart. A downclocked probably 30%-40% slower.

Better wait for review on the GTX860M to see if thermal performance is good or not.

according to the article tomolo's GTC nvidia will make a big announcement, should be the highly anticipated gtx790, still got half year for them to sell the 790, nvidia release new series somewhat are quite quick, almost every 6months-12months jump new series, l guess this is how they milk money icon_question.gif

some user don like upgrades often, say 780 released around late may 2013, that time cost rm2.5k, half year later nvidia release 780ti cost 2.5k as well, but the old 780 price cut like wtfbbq sweat.gif even you sell the 780 at 1.8k, again top up rm700 for 780ti, kinda one really expensive hobby IMO icon_question.gif

if gpu manufacturers stall new releases, we'll probably still be at gtx 400-500 leh. i guess the 780 is good enough to last me at 1080p single screen for a few years at 60fps ultra.

Yeah, pretty impossibru to stuff that much Kepler cores into 1 die. Even GK110 die size already at the limit.

Guys, the Titan Z is meant for home workstations. This conference has nothing much to do with gaming. If you see the price tags of the even more insane Quadro series the Titan Z doesn't look so bad after all.

The quadro K6000 is $4999 retail. Cheaper at some places like Amazon.

Shame there wasn't much on Maxwell though.

1. Iray VCA, not for gaming. It is for product design or 3d modeling featuring real time ray tracing and global illumination.
2. Tegra Jetson K1 will be use in AUDI cars for driverless future car. Upgrade able and overclockable. More expensive than Titan-Z per core.
3. Something something about Nvidia Grid. (i was playing with my phone, didn't listen to it)
4. Nvidia Pascal, replacing Volta and expected to be release around 2016-2017. Will feature Nvidia Vlink and 3D Vram.

btw i watched the stream using screamyx.

=____= maximum a PC can handle is a four way SLi or Crossfire. The Titan-Z has two Cores already. In effect it's two GPUs. So how is it possible to have four Titan-Z in a system for gaming.

That's why I said for gaming it won't work.

If you want so many cards for mining or workstation based rigs, you might as well get a Quad Quadro K6000 and rip any programme to shreds.

If not mistaken, those OEM cards are usually bundled with e.g Dell PCs and is supplied directly from Nvidia. Physically and specs-wise, there is no difference with Asus/MSI/Evga.

It's not crippled GPU bro. From the press release, it shows 5760 CUDA cores (2880 each GPU), so that is equivalent to a full fledged GK110 core. However, clock / memory speed is not specified though.

Prolly gonna use an extreme version of the GTX690 cooler. Looks similar to it too.

But GTX690 is two crippled GK104 cores. GK110 I really dunno mang. Maybe gonna end up like 290/290X reference. sweat.gif

We shall wait and see benchmarks.

IMO dual gpu wont be running @ full fledged as nvidia always wanted to maintain low TDP on dual gpu card resulted low voltage = low clock speed, l could be wrong though doh.gif awaiting official tech specs and reviews notworthy.gif

GTX 690 uses two full fledged GK104 cores too. Just running at 915 MHz (GTX 680's run at 1006MHz). biggrin.gif Very likely the Titan Z would have a slightly clocked down core to meet the TDP requirements.

Crippled means some of the SMXs are deliberately switched off (resulting in lower core counts, texture units), maybe due to yield or stability issues. Not to be confused ya. icon_rolleyes.gif
