hey, everyone, i have been enjoying XBMC a lot, especially with the add ons on dailyflix,

i have just a small question. i have a quad core android player that has cloud TV, but unfortunately watching HD movies 720P with DTS will lag like crazy, to a point where the sound comes way ahead of the video.

i suspect it is my media player.

IS there any way to tweak? or do you guys have an other player that can do XBMC and cloud TV but a powerful one.

i am using Himedia player, and also suffered the exactly same problem with u. It just suffer massive frame rate lag and audio ahead from video during playback of any 720p film with dts sound. my tv setting was at 1080p 60hz, and my box has A9 dual core processor with 4.2 android, is that not enough to handle xbmc?

as said before, this is a himedia problem. not xbmc. it is due to the chipset not fully supported by xbmc, incl current models.

but there are a couple of things u can do to improve it.

HI all xbmc lovers,

I have found solution to lagging issue while playing on full hd mode,
it seems there is a bug in their server.

So i was advised to change the audio settings to ANALOG and speaker config to 2.0.

I was able to play full hd movies after that with no lags at all.

If others are experiencing this,do try changing the audio settings.
To run full hd movies with no lag( 4-5mbps internet line speed)

Hope this helps

I saw you replied that 1.0.6 emmc eng firmware can work 100% with XBMC, does that means if i flash my Q10ii into this firmware, this lag issue will be solve automatically too?

it is a unique and complex manufacturer issue, no perfect solution still...

and we know there is no such problem with other devices, better not pollute this thread!

For running hd movie all item must be clear...
First internet speed... 4mbps >
Router transfer speed...... latest wifi draft ac or draft n...
Wifi draft device xbmc running...better draft ac or n
Processor Dual core or quad core..Better choose quad core box...( take a little out money to get a good item..)
All combine togethers get a good result...
That all my experience and small research....

Hi guys,
I am using XBMC thru my ATV2. I am using cabled LAN connection (Using Homeplug). When i am viewing HD movies the buffer is a little slow though a speedtest using the same cable shows 9.8MBPS (I am using 10MB Maxis Fiber).

Is there any setting on the ATV2 I can change to improve the speed of HD streaming. Please advise.

Crow

It mean when use WiFi OK ..but using LAN down..?
Why not use same DNS to your LAN setting...
Can try use DNS...
4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2

4.2.2.3
4.2.2.4

4.2.2.5
4.2.2.6
This DNS easy to remembered...
87.118.111.215
81.174.67.134

216.87.84.209
216.87.84.211

This has nothing to do with XBMC..and there is no servers btw..just many sources of contents...

Changing to Analog 2.0 defeats the purpose of passthrough DTS/DD.

It's actually a software compatibility problem with the gazillions Android boxes out there.

Only some with actually work, and also depends on which version of the XBMC and/or firmware on your Android box.

Frankly, i just prefer to download my bluray hd rips than searching from XBMC.
