HI all xbmc lovers,

I have found solution to lagging issue while playing on full hd mode,
it seems there is a bug in their server.

So i was advised to change the audio settings to ANALOG and speaker config to 2.0.

I was able to play full hd movies after that with no lags at all.

If others are experiencing this,do try changing the audio settings.
To run full hd movies with no lag( 4-5mbps internet line speed)
Hope this helps

This has nothing to do with XBMC..and there is no servers btw..just many sources of contents...

Changing to Analog 2.0 defeats the purpose of passthrough DTS/DD.

It's actually a software compatibility problem with the gazillions Android boxes out there.

Only some with actually work, and also depends on which version of the XBMC and/or firmware on your Android box.

Frankly, i just prefer to download my bluray hd rips than searching from XBMC.

I am not using Android box.

Im running on my pc.

The answer i GAVE was from xbmcforum.

Running from PC should not be a problem. My DTS/DD passthrough from PC just fine.

It could be your hardware. Do you use Intel GPU HDMI to passthrough? Intel GPU not so good with passthrough.

Thats why i asked those ppl from xbmc why its lagging.

I gave them my specs as below.

win7
asus gtx670
intel i5

I am using my samsung nvidia audio to passthru.

I have tried changing,it wont work unless i change it to ANALOG 2.0
*
You passthrough using HDMI right? Did you select HDMI and 5.1?

Your specs is good. Which version of XBMC are you using?

Did you set NVIDIA HDMI as default output in the Windows OS?

xbmc 12.2
how to set nvidia hdmi as default output?
*
I am also running Frodo with XBMCHUB Wizard.

To set audio output, click(or right click, can't remember) on your sound icon in the right bottom corner and select audio devices or something. You should see a few options there..."Realtek", NVIDIA etc. Select NVDIA HDMI. Or sometimes it appears as your TV Name. My case it's "Sharp HDMI". I am using an AMD card, but it shouldn't be a problem for NVIDIA card either. I did passthrough from my other PC with Nvidia card before.

Question: Your PC is connected to your AVR via HDMI right?

what is avr? Sorry being a noob.

I connect my gpu hdmi to my samsung tv. Thats all.

My astro box yellow, white and red are also connected to my samsung.

Thats alll the connecttions.

Aiyo....of course lah. Your Samsung TV will not decode DTS/DD. It's only 2.0 speakers. So the XBMC will downsample the DD/DTS 5.1 to 2.0

AVR=Audio Visual Receiver. In a Home theater system, this is where all the speakers connect to. Your PC/media player connects to the AVR, AVR output sound to speakers.

User problem lah bro. tongue.gif

Hi. There is one thing i always don't understand about KODI/XBMC.

Sometimes the movies says has "Local Subtitles is Available" when i try to download subtitles from the various provider. However, i never see the local subtitles by default and i don't know how to activate/select the local subtitle instead of downloading external subtitles.

How do i do that?

Thanks.

1) It could be subtitles that's only displayed when there's foreign language in the movie

2) You can enable subs in the audio option (Menu-> Audio during playback). Better yet you can assign keys to toggle/enable subs on your keyboard/remote instead of going thru the menus.
*
Oh, i didn't know can do that. How to assign the keys? I will check the Menu->Audio option during playback.
