so what you are saying i just have to hope they are implying i need to wait for the next update to see if the url are fixed or not.
By the way, i've read on kodi that installing kodi on a cheap wirecast dongle(some said firestick)  that they sold at lowyat is much better than the hardware i.e mqx805 box that i have now. Does kodi really don't care about hardware so much in term of streaming and displaying the video?

What I'm saying is that, you launch Genesis addon, locate media title you want to watch, wait for it to search and populate available sources, select your preferred link and stream. if what you want is not there, go seek somewhere else... There are other addons available (please don't ask for specifics, read this thread) or you can download yourself and play files locally. As for KODI support on Miracast dongles much better than your MQX805 box.... Sorry, that means that the MQX805 really sucks, cuz KODI + "sticks or dongles", especially cheap ones do NOT mix well. See, installing KODI on a stick, phone, tablet, PC or Box is easy... Getting that smooth performance is not. KODI cares a lot about hardware.

What does 'Error Unable to Initialise, Existing' mean? Incompatible hardware? I'm using an Intel i3 desktop with 8GB ram and vga cable join to a dell monitor.

Try duplicating the fix shown in this video. Might solve the issue. Something about editing the guisettings.xml file. Sorry, language is in Hebrew but shouldn't pose much problems.

Greetings ALL,

I feel after upgrading my KODI/OpenElec 6.0 running on RPI2; everything seems to be very slow. I have sufficient space on my Micro SD, minimal ADDONS and etc so no issues here.

Thinking of getting new android box just to run KODI, any recommendation for a good reliable Android box?

Thanks guys!

Cheers
Raj

Hmm... Strange... I've never used one myself but usually its mostly good news about KODI's performance on the RPI2. Heck, even the newly released $5 Raspberry Pi Zero runs KODI somewhat okay (YouTube Vids). Sure it's not something else? Say SD card or a corrupt installation.

Edit: NVIDIA SHIELD TV brows.gif ..... Android TV Boxes thread.

Thanks for the advice chief. Well manage to resolve this issue by attaching a bigger storage USB stick on the RPI2. So now my storage for KODI is on the USB stick. I feel it's really fast to toggle all the options incl movies on OpenElec now.

No need to spend $$$ for a new unit now brows.gif

cheers

I have multiple raspberry pi 2's at home and its a brilliant. I use openelec on it and I dont have to worry about anything at all
