Thank you Shengz and H2D.
I am looking to buy a foldie. Not sure which brand to buy.
I am new in this cycling.
I have tested the Dahon and GTA. Sad to say I don't feel any difference between the 2.
Yah, please recommend some shops for me to visit.
*
wana see alot of java, go direct to pedalspot, they are main dist.

as for xds.. is scattered in many shops...
usj- $$$
samybike - (big xds signboard) can order for u. shud be able to get good price.

xds is more on the $$ side among cheaper foldies, finishing is very good.

if u really wana get ur money's worth...

then u have to do the homework... which includes understanding how
foldie works, bicycle parts, why is this cheap? tht wan exp?
what u wana do with the bike... etc etc...

all these is a must... even u plan to buy a cheap wan...

members here end up go back to bike shop to return , exchange, fix etc.. regret etc..
u can read their experience earlier..

so do homework is a must....

u need to hide it as a luggage...

oni a B or something as small or smaller than a B can do it... biggrin.gif

remove the wheels, put in separate luggage bag,

the frame remove post n seat, then can put in one bag...

agree with H2D..  XDS 660 is having the same spec as Java fit as far as i remember...  and it is few hundreds cheaper than java.  I haven't ride on them to know the differences but from spec n price wise.. its worth to consider the xds..

Thank you numbertwo.

I was also told to get those bikes with two cranks. That means either 14 speed or 16 speed bike.
XDS AFB630
XDS AFB660
Java Fit 16S-D

What other brands and models can I check?

How to know that wheel size is 451 or not?
If it comes with the bike, then got no choice, right?

the java n xds with disc brake have 451 tyres...
it is stamped on the sidewall...

most foldie with disc using 451... is the trend...

unless u wana change the wheelset which can be costly...

OK. Noted.
451 tyres are narrow, more bumpy.
If the tyres are narrow, they can go faster, is that correct?

just for your reference, xds 630 can go as low as RM1.1K in Ipoh...

I have not seen Nakxus before so can't compre. If price is about the same, then check what are the parts offered and do comparison...

This shop quoted me RM1200 for the XDS 630 and RM1300 for the Nakxus 20F048.

Can't find much info on the Nakxus bike with Google.

Did u check proper the diff btwn d 2bikes, its quite obvious.

If u unfold all d joints, fold it, lower n raise the post etc, u will notice d difference.

We did discuss about some of these earlier.
