QUOTE(QD_buyer @ Jan 3 2007, 04:47 PM) What is step-down transformer? Electrical appliances (including gaming consoles) built for use in the United States and Japan are designed to operate on 110 volts AC . However, Malaysia operates on 220 volts AC. Therefore, to use your US / Japanese Xbox 360 here in Malaysia you must use step-down converter to convert 220 volts to 110 volts AC. Failure to do this could destroy or severely damage your appliance.

I have a question about the 360.
I got myself a Play and Charge kit, and am happy with that. However, recently the missus asked for another controller, and I don't have enough rechargeable AAs to go around (plus I'd rather use the 360's batteries). I don't want to get another play and charge kit just for the battery so...
Are the third party Li-On packs reliable? I mean I understand if they hold lesser charge etc etc, but has anyone had any problems with over heating or (God forbid) explosions?
Thanks very much!

I did a test on the original, third party (Datel) and "local" Li-on battery. all seems to be ok~. just that the li-on battery "local" won't last that long. Datel however is extra bit better (last longer then original)

Yo, coolboy here, proud owner of Wii, and planning to get Xbox360, couple of questions. a) I have a 32" Samsung (Model 71BX) LCD TV which support HDMI, VGA, Component, SVideo, and Composite, I believe Samsung higher resolutions could only go up to 1368X760? What is the best Video Connection cable I should go for? b) Is that possible to setup XBox360 as my prime Multimedia Player, i.e it able to scan all the available media files (Divx, Video, Picture, Music) on my home network, and play it via my Smasung TV and Hifi? Thanks

@coolboy_kl: check playasia or bossman djinn, 3rd party dragon brand vga cable costs around rm45. maybe cheaper at playasia. but dude, just use the included component cable la divx is a no-go. unless u can get ur hands on XP MCE or vista. or even TVersity, but that kinda sux, bundle all ur videos together. http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1002/pla...uide/index.html
