I have a question about the 360.

I got myself a Play and Charge kit, and am happy with that. However, recently the missus asked for another controller, and I don't have enough rechargeable AAs to go around (plus I'd rather use the 360's batteries). I don't want to get another play and charge kit just for the battery so...

Are the third party Li-On packs reliable? I mean I understand if they hold lesser charge etc etc, but has anyone had any problems with over heating or (God forbid) explosions?

Thanks very much!

Alamak.

My personal recommendation: d/l the update to a CD and then update your 360. Somehow, it feels safer.

the_registered: No whatsoever negatives?

That's a tall order bro. Djinn and bernard will provide you with good service, but even their combined powers can't stop the ROD from happening. That's a matter best left to the console gods.

Pegh, leenaz garang gila ah.

Like the previous forumers said, you can buy 3nd hand games cheaper and nothing beats getting online on LIVE.

No mod!

That's because no one will want to sell their ori VGA cable unless they're getting rid of the 360. I tried the PA VGA cable - basically it makes your pricey LCD monitor/TV look bad. Seriously.

Basically the bottom line is buying a 360 now is a risk.

Nothing anyone can say will change that.

So with that knowledge, do you still buy, or do you wait?

If you can wait, then please do so. If you want to play NOW, then just buy one and enjoy it while you can. It may sound heartless but no one is forcing you to buy a 360/console.

Yup, no one can tell you how long. It could be next January, or May, or 2009.

Bro naskie

Before you buy you have to ask yourself why are you buying it. If you want the 100% of the experience, Xbox Live is a must. If not, you will spend RM 160++ on a game but you cannot enjoy 100% of it. In other words, rugi.

If you want to play similar games but don't want to pay for online why not try the PS3? Most of the big games (except GoW, Halo) will be on it anyway.

OR, you can pay RM 69-89 (prices may differ) for three month membership. I buy mine from Play-Asia.com, RM 69 per card smile.gif
