hey guys , i got a frequent blackout(4-5 seconds) when im playing games with my 22" lcd monitor, is this a sign of rrod?
*
Same here. What lcd are u using? I'm using Benq E2200HD connected thru vga. I don't think its a rrod sign btw. It must be something to do with the display signal or something. Any ideas?

hi guys, wana ask regarding HDMI connection, if i connect my XBOX360 using HDMI cable, how about the audio portion? the default cable (the one in the picture above) cant be used anymore due to the space constraint at the back of console. and i want to connect to my amplifier, dont want to use the cheapo LCD speaker.
if connect HDMI cant use the default cable to connect audio, please help me. thanks.

^if u bought original hdmi cable, it came with additional audio cable. i think it will not be a problem. not sure about 3rd party hdmi cable cus i also heard info that some 3rd party hdmi cable will block the rca/component cable space at the back of the console.

The keyword is there=never shut down sweat.gif doh.gif

I fried my falcon after 8 months of owning it (MFG:09-01-2008), claim from M$ singapore and returned with a new unit with quiet drive. thumbup.gif

To ease yourself from 3RRoD, make sure you never mod your machine and never send to other than M$ singapore for repair. You also need to know someone from SG and a passport if you want to claim it fast. brows.gif

its worth the risk if u wanna play the new gen games imho. i play mine average 4 hours or more a day. when cuti time can reach 12 hour non stop. even after those 12 hours i touch the 360, doesn't seem hot.

mine is the falcon batch i think, manufacture date early this year, i think march or april.

i play in air cond room tho. maybe that helps?

my xbox manufacturing date -11-2005. Still surviving until now. I think it depends on how u handle it. I m using the dashboard myth to cool the console. It seem to prolong the lifetime

Yes, that helps a lot~!

My falcon unit is warm in nornal room @ 28C. the exhaust fan seems to pump out gases at 47C at max.

And I just found a small markings on the left hand side of the console vertically......could be a due to a heat up..... sweat.gif

Me too hehe, I think it makes sense, imagine if you in the middle of the game and if you switch off the console immediately, all the hot air will get trap inside the Xbox because the fan stopped running.

When in dashbord the CPU/GPU is mostly at idle state so the fan can suck out all the extra heat in the Xbox produced while playing games before.
