trust me, unless you compare with old machine, Falcon are actually cheaper than all previous build

I fried my falcon after 8 months of owning it (MFG:09-01-2008), claim from M$ singapore and returned with a new unit with quiet drive.

To ease yourself from 3RRoD, make sure you never mod your machine and never send to other than M$ singapore for repair. You also need to know someone from SG and a passport if you want to claim it fast.

My falcon unit is warm in nornal room @ 28C. the exhaust fan seems to pump out gases at 47C at max.

And I just found a small markings on the left hand side of the console vertically......could be a due to a heat up.....

I have a better way to do--Download something and torun it off. Of course, you need to enable to background download features.

The charge takes 6 hrs on average.... way too much....

just brought 2 stupid CPU fan and a cheap IPod charger. will complete the "attachment" tomorrow. hahahaha

I just did mine, i can say it cools the console dramatically. However it's a falcon.





external specific hot spot is not felt anymore. but, RRoD coming out or not still early to tell. Keep fingers cross.

I know zypher & xenon sill died even with most powerful intercooler available....but mine's falcon and the heat at the external shell did reduced dramatically.

It's not only hot, it BURNS.

I heard that the Jasper's heat sink is hot rather than flaming hot compared to old system when full load, but of course...in air conditioned environment....

I'm waiting for another 8 months to see if jasper further reduce the 3RRoD problem. My console is still under warranty afterall

Just now tried falcon @ a/c room playing Sonic unleash demo...also no heat at exhaust at all.....

Some how I still attach that 2 fans and move it out from that a/c room....

I just hate that the original exhaust fan is too weak so I DIYed the fan. it's a piece of mind for me, even though i know it won't help much if it comes........

Added on January 3, 2009, 3:47 pmM$ recommened let it stand vertically as the hot spot is at bottom if you let to horizontal.

You might consider add a notebook cooler if u want to let it sit horizontally. or just lay it at a flat & clear surface....
