Hi Anyone using Xbox 360 controller + receiver for their PC?

I wanna play Fifa 08 with my PC since im getting PES for xbox 360 but i cant dribble with a conventional keyboard so ill need a xbox 360 controller.

Can i use one receiver for multiple controllers on the PC?
can i use the xbox 360 controller for PC on an xbox?

Hi, Someone is selling me a 2nd hand Xbox 360 dirt cheap ( I mean really cheap). I ask him the usual question like have the console been 3 RODed, why selling so cheap. The answer was he got bored playing with it and wanted to upgrade to a ps3. The question for a noob like me here is. Is there anything I need to check before agreeing to buy his console.

Well, you could ask if it still have local warranty, as in if got any prob, is there a shop which you can send back who will deal with the prob? Another thing would be to check if the xbox is banned from LIVE (if you are buying non-modded) and lastly, make sure you get receipt..

Btw, checking the manufactured date will help too. See if it comes with benq or the new hitachi drive and extra heatsinks.. Doesn't actually prevent rrod, but will help in reducing the chance.

He's selling it to me for RM700. Is that cheap or what? Is there a diffrence between benq and hitachi disk drive? Is there anyway to check it remotely or I have to trust the sellers word for it. the only thing I can confirm is that is not yet 3 RODED. Hopefully

How did you confirm whether it is not yet 3rodded? Although 3rods got tendency to re-occur, it is not relevant as it can occur pretty much randomly.

simple, if its modded, u can actually manually check yourself whether it kena 3ROD b4 infront of the seller
or if u are sure the unit never had that problem b4, try to test it to go on LIVE to make sure it isnt banned.

are you gonna deal through post? It's better if you can meet up face to face to deal.. Benq and the new hitachi is very much quieter than the older drives. Extra heatsink does help with 3rod prob, not so much to eliminate it but to reduce the chances of it happening.

As for controller, it's one receiver to 1 controller. and yes, you can use xbox 360 controller for pc and vice versa.. it's the same controller actually. the receiver for pc is actually a 2.4ghz receiver in the xbox 360.

Im going to meet him on thursday. I know, im skeptical about the price but he said he got bored of it. It's like if I don' take it someone else will take it with that price... Never handle a 360 before. Can we connect to xbox LIVE with an internet connection? To check for 3ROD and stuff

Bought my X360 last Friday

Hard to control the car when playing PGR4 as i'm too used to control accel/break using the right analog stick.

Also I noticed the the DVD drive is quite noisy when playing game.

no la... take it easy... duno which DVD rom you have...
try when you play arcade game is it that noisy...

I played COD 3 demo, soundless.
The noise is as loud as my PC DVD drive when installing any game or software.

I guess that's an issue as my sound of my speaker is louder
