First, go to http://192.168.1.1/
In the username and password field, key in "tmadmin" without the quote mark
(assume that you haven't change the username and password)

Second, go to WAN (or Routing) > PPP
you will see PPP configuration at there

3rd, Press "Add"
at the "PPP Interface - Add" > "Security Information"
key in your streamyx username and password
Submit

after that, refresh the PPP configuration page by press the "Refresh" at there until the "Oper. Status" show "Link Up"

Optional (in "PPP Interface - Add" )
1. You can enable the DHCP if you want
2. You can also enable the DNS too as you like

Thank you for your reply. However, I can't seem to make the "Oper. Status" to show Link Up. Instead, it's showing Link Down. Here are my questions:
1. What does this mean?
2. What should I do next after getting it to show Link Up (if ever..)?

Thanks in advance!

1. What does this mean?
it mean you cant connect with routing mode, either becoz of username and password incorrect... or maybe you aledi connected... or the worst... dc
1. you enter the right username and password??
2. are you online with bridging mode now?? disconnect first before you want to make your modem connect automatically

2. What should I do next after getting it to show Link Up (if ever..)?
nothing to do, juz open the IE or Firefox directly, and type http://forum.lowyat.net/ biggrin.gif

I'm querying on behalf of my friend.

He signed up the Streamyx SuperDeals and got the Riger DB102 adsl modem.

We managed to change the Standard Modulation from "Multimode" to "ADSL2+" at the command prompt. But how on earth to force the "Connected Standard" from "G.dmt" into "ITU G.992.5" (aka ADSL2+)?

Another thing is how to ENABLE the "Boost Data" parameter?

This modem is freaking slow, it's like they downgraded the modem or something. Tested with 2 similar modem.

Hi guys, i just subscribed to streamyx few days ago using the "in-a-box" 1Mbps package. I let it run a few days and normal HTTP web surfing is fine and smooth.

Now, I'm trying to do some portforwarding following the step-by-step guide shown in www.portforward.com. However, after i've done all the steps and reboot the modem, results still show that the port has not been forwarded (using utorrent speed guide).

Is there any way to check if the Riger DB102 has been properly port forwarded? Or am i missing any steps?

Thanx. icon_question.gif

reboot the modem??
why you reboot the modem??
you should click "commit" at the "Admin > Commit & Reboot part
reboot the modem without "commit" will make your modem go back to previous state

That's what the process flow in portforward.com states. First, click "Commit", then click "Reboot". Is this wrong on their part?

Yes, that is what i assume too.

But using Utorrents speed guide, (Options > Speed Guide > Test if port is forwarded properly), it says that my port doesnt appear to be open. How come?

another reason might be the firewall...
please make sure you have allow the µTorrent traffic in firewall
or make sure the port that your µTorrent used is allow

I'm only using the Windows Firewall of XP SP2. Have added exceptions for the Utorrent software as well as UDP and TDP ports. Might i be missing anything else?

then how is the speed??
is it slow when you connected to many Malaysian peer??

if your speed didnt slow down, then it should be the µTorrent test port function got problem...
else, then try reset the modem, port forward again
and MUST click "Commit" in "Commit & Reboot" (most important. so that your setting will be save in the modem)
