WOW JUST WOW.

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley feels he has been made a scapegoat for the club's poor form.

The champions have made hard work of their Premier League title defence and may even struggle to land a Champions League place next season as they currently sit nine points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.

Criticism of David Moyes and his side has been widespread, but fans have aimed much of their frustration at Cleverley.
"When I first started getting singled out, it stung," the midfielder told the Mirror. "But it's something you have got to learn to take when the team is not doing well.

"My job goes under the radar at times. I am not a player who's going to beat three or four people and stick it in the top corner or go round tackling people like Roy Keane.

"I would like the fans on my side and it hurts a little bit when you have grown up at the club and love the club every bit as much as the supporters.

"But there are other people in the current United squad who have been through this kind of thing and they have made sure their quality shone through.

"I have got to look at those people. I have learned to take it with a pinch of salt and I'm sure it will make me stronger for the rest of my career.

"I feel I've been made a scapegoat a little bit. A few people in the media certainly seem to have a perception of me not doing much in the team.

"I feel I've been made a scapegoat a little bit. A few people in the media certainly seem to have a perception of me not doing much in the team."
Tom Cleverley
"Don't get me wrong, I know I can do better but people are making a big thing about how I don't score enough goals when that is not necessarily my first job in the team."

United fans might want to see Cleverley in a box-to-box role, but that is not the role Moyes has asked him to play with the United boss preferring him in a holding role.

"I watch Spanish football a lot," Cleverley says. "If they pass the ball sideways but keep possession, the fans clap them.

"Their attitude is that as long as you have got the ball, the other team can't hurt you.

"I know the mentality is different here and that is what makes our game the best in the world because it is so intense.

"But sometimes I have got to not listen and play my game because I feel I'm doing the best thing for the team."

WOW. So he can't tackle, he can't create goals, he can't score goals, and he side passes. HE CREATED A NEW ROLE WHICH IS THE NOTHING ROLE.

WOW this show how weak you are.. you are showing signs of a weak person.. How can a person with your whining personality play for Manchester United? You don't deserve to wear the badge. This shows that you have no fighting spirit. Now you blame it on the media and fans for not supporting you... you certainly forgot who pays your wages.. and the chances you have been given to show how good you are. at least have some humility.. Disgusting playing.. ship him out now.. bring back tunnicliffe!!

i find this very worrying.. its back to back games now sweat.gif

QUOTE
The Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney partnership has again come under the microscope following Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Fulham – after the duo completed just six passes between each other in 90 minutes.

According to Opta stats, Van Persie and Rooney were again virtual strangers on the pitch, and made two of those six passes from kick-off.

These latest statistical revelations can hardly be that surprising considering United flung in a record 81 crosses from the flanks against Fulham – meaning there was little opportunity for the two to combine through the middle – but following the pair’s three passes to each other against Stoke, it doesn’t bode well for the duo’s future together.

lately i found our attack is quite rushed.
While glad to see some urgency to attk teams, but it is always that the wingers that provide opportunity to score by crossing in the box.
It seems like that is the only main strategy. But Valencia ain't no Beckham.

Hardly see any scheming or drag defender out, late runs into the box or little one-two with teammates to open up the defense.
With Rooney and vPersie fit plus the edition of Mata/Kagawa, we should be focusing more on the middle instead of the wings.

On the draw against Fulham, which saw United produce 81 crosses, Moyes added: “We played well and in any other game you would have scored many goals. We didn’t get it on the day. Everybody keeps telling me about the stats and the opportunities we had so we had plenty of chances to win the game.

“We’re doing the right things, we need to keep going and our luck will change, there’s no doubt about that.”

Not sure if he want to keep problem private. But if he seriously thinking like that, he will get the sack sooner or later, since there won't be result. majority of the ppl know there's serious tactical problem except him. wondering glazier is with the majority or not

It's quite ironic that Moyes has openly taking all the responsibilities of poor results but kept talking about rebuilding the team. So, was he saying the fault is not on the players but his own dinosaur tactics? Or he just playing taichi to indicate this whole squad, who won the league by 11 points last season, is not up to his "united standard"?

Seriously, it contradicts the reason that United hired him in the first place isn't it? Yeah maybe they want him to build another dynasty, but for sure it must follow his way of spotting talent yet spend less money method right!? The money he spent in last 6 months was a staggering £65m, good enough for good-scouting-manager to build at least half the squad!! doh.gif

Gotta agree on the 65mil. But right now the market is inflated, players that are deemed with 'potential' or currently on-form will result to a sky-high valuation. We do not need 'superstars' players, with 65mil, I am pretty sure we are able to sign decent players that fetch a far lower price than the ones paid for Fellaini for instance. The price for Fellaini is indeed overpriced..still have yet to see him justifying his pricetag.

Mata's deal seems alright. Chelsea's best player for two seasons, able to play multiple positions and 3 assists in 3 games, sounds like a pretty good start to me. While Fellaini is still nursing his everlong injuries that is pilling up as the days goes by.. he has a big shoe to fill to justify his pricetag.

Glaziers are businessman first. so sacking Moyes will not their top agenda.

losing CL money will hurt them later. i predict Moyes will be sack around May next year.

1. Transfers are not Moyes' domain. That is Ed Woodward's.
2. He doesn't have the luxury of time like he did in Everton. Here, he'd be lucky to even get 3 years, let alone 11 years to slowly build and rebuild the team.

The team is at the point where old players are too old and young players are too young. And the players in between are injured. It's that kind of luck and situation. Now that Rooney, RvP are back and hopefully they can paper over the weak defence.
