overall i'm satisfied with the result and the way we play...no more one route crossing play...very discipline and we are unlucky to not get a goal

Very good discipline in defend. How I hope we continue this performance in defend instead of give up cheap goals like previous matches.

We miss many chances especially RVP one on one with the GK. He should score that.

Fuuu, nasib he didn't play. If not, mmg man utd kalah.

Anyways, back on topic, I still cannot figure out why Moyes don't want to play Kagawa. I mean, even though when Kagawa do play, often than most time, he play so-so (except the leverkusen game in CL where he was superb), he needs a run of game to get better.

And Moyes keeps playing Young la. I don't hate the guy, but, he doesn't offer much to the team, other than better crosses compared to Valencia, and the occasionally long strike towards goal. But, sometimes, he tries to overrate himself trying to beat defenders, which most often than not, either kena out-muscled, or he run2, until the corner flag, where his in good position to cross before and hits the defender leg to put into corner.
Maybe because its world cup year, moyes was given instruction to play the english players more often, we don't know.

For today's game, everyone played well, including cleverly for his defensive approach. The only one that seem distant throughout the match is RVP, with the occasionally odd touches, and two excellent chances he squandered.

If this season Man Utd don't qualify for CL, I hope they don't qualify for Europa as well, because of the schedule of playing a ECL game 2/3 days before a EPL game.

we did quite 'okay' for today's match.

i can see that they are trying very hard to minimize the crossings laugh.gif in which however exposed our lack of commanding attacking central midfielder to control the ball at the opponent's half. too many loose balls.

that role shud have been perfect for mata, but then again, moyes plays him as a winger. (which i strongly against because of mata's lack of pace).

this also shows that playing 2 holding midfielders at the same time (carrick-fletcher or carrick-cleverly) isnt working anymore. the combination yields too little service to the strikers (which resulted in less goal scoring chances and had to rely heavily from the crosses). i wish moyes stick with carrick alone as the holding midfielder and kagawa/mata as the CM in front of carrick since kagawa/mata can pass/dribble the ball better than cleverly

carrick was consistent as he was in the last 10 matches or so. cleverly was average, but better than he did in the last 5 matches he played.

persie shud have scored the first minute chance. still not quite back to his goal scoring form. same goes to rooney. they are very average since they came back from injury.

de gea was superb. our defenders played surprisingly good laugh.gif but that might have been because arsenal themselves played very poorly.

hopefully this one point can be the stepping stone for united to back to winning ways.

Didn't have much expectation on this match anyway so 1 point away to Arsenal seems a decent result especially we didn't concede goal. It's just that the European Footballs are slipping away further more when Liverpool won at Fulham with last 10 minute PK. doh.gif

Tom Cleverley still doesn't look convincing enough to be a starter though. Other than doing the usual roaming around center part I just couldn't remember he did anything offensive to actually set up a play or through pass or some sort. Everytime I see he gets the ball he will quickly pass it away (mostly backward) to avoid being tackled. He just doesn't have the confidence with the ball or not man enough to handle responsibility and taking risk for offense play. Gone are the days Scholes one man can bring the ball from back to the front. sleep.gif
