Hi guys,

I'm looking for a TV box as an alternative to Astro. After going through several threads and reading multiple pages, I find myself still confused and very unsure as I am almost completely clueless about Android TV, Kodi, etc, etc. I understand that going with this path will require some know-how and will not be as easy as just using Astro, and I'm willing to learn. Problem is... where do I start?

If someone could just help me with the following questions:
- Which box should I get with let's just say budget around RM400 to maybe 600+? Preferably with nice UI and sleek look and nice remote, etc la.
- With this, can I get LIVE HD football, HBO, Comedy Central, etc, etc?
- Will those content be for free or subscribe?

Edit: heard so much about Roku, is it even Android? Recommended?

Much appreciated  notworthy.gif

Your best bet with that budget, go look up for Nicety at the Garage, he'd be happy to guide and have everything ready for you

Ok, finally after long thinking, decided to go with Beelink GT1 (USD55.99) instead of Sunvell T95X (USD33.99) for my backup unit. For that USD22 diff, i'd get

Pros
Octa core (912) instead Quad core (905X)
16GB instead of 8GB space
GPU Mali T820 instead T450

Cons
I don't get DTS, TrueHD passthru cry.gif

What im unsure which is VERY IMPORTANT to me cry.gif is the unit must have good wifi connection due to my setup. Hopefully that is the case....

Btw paid using MBB Visa directly instead of using PayPal, was charged RM226.46. Paypal indicates the charge will be RM237.35....

The unit having good wifi capabilities is irrelevant if your network is crappy.. Location, location, location..  biggrin.gif

PayPal has to make some money in exchange for better security & peace of mind..

S912 is mostly 60usd and above.
S905x 2G is close to 40usd and above.

I think better wait for a better deal.

If you want, I'm willing to part with my new GT1 for 226 incl shipping.

No DTS ..... Thought I'd get DTS despite the product info saying no, just like the Sunvell T95M (another very good entry level unit in my opinion)
