Recently I just purchased an Android TV box with Karaoke functions. Besides normal general functions of Android TV box, it comes with two high quality microphones and built in 500K songs / MTV apps. For karaoke lovers like me, this is definitely a good box. For new Android buyer, this give you another option to choose...

Thanks for sharing. Maybe you can further help the karaoke lovers out there by mentioning the box's name, model number and possibly where it can be purchased. Enjoy ur device.

Who do you buy from, what brand is this? Sometime , it feel good, it looks good but it cost more money to owned one box . Android box these days can range in many prices.

There is one i found is call 1OTT by cloud media .

potential buyers of androids and similar primarily accessing china sites be warned:

.. unifi residential is having trouble since 12 sep 2014 - can't access or very slow
.. no info when it will be restored
.. all related china sites incl cloudtv dead or dead slow
.. xbmc not affected
.. others like unifi biz, streamyx, maxis fiber, time fiber, vpn's no problem, it seems
.. not the first time, it happened in june 2013

Update on 1OTT.
the guys who sold the player is not in his thread for some times now. The company office is in Penang and Sri Hartamas. They were called Cloudmedia. Check their website . Their product is from hong kong. Their customers not seem to be a lot but their content i saw like AXN have Thai subtitles. It may just another pull links from same source by cloudtv etc.
If u r searching for HK drama in cantonese, browser base is the only one that runs smoothly but so far i have only found azdrama that works well.


Even Azdrama site had been cloned and shifted to new links.
I watched Astro On Go and it's smooth like hell. Obviously , the china streaming problem. I putting on hold on my next purchase of media player at the moment. I have sold my himedia player . Probably thinking of getting chromecast , minix or roku but not sure if it works well with Astro on Go. I heard Astro on GO only works for Samsung and Ipad, not all devices will work.

i would think aotg works on most if not all newer androids and tablets. they r indeed stable.
hypptv everywhere works the same as aotg, also very smooth.
however, the video quality is surely no as good as via the decoders.
after worldcup, i ignored aotg altogether, never use hypptv everywhere alto both r on my android and ipad.

it is obvious that without restrictions, it is not difficult to stream video and audio, incl hd as demonstrated by many apps incl xbmc.
but.... as we know it, there r vested parties wanting control - the power to restrict, the power to set rules, the power to make money.

your price is too expensive. u have to let us know what is so different from your competitor? 1OTT also claims so many channels and no subscription . i saw your sample, some of the movies were in malay sub, must be from indonesia.

yeah, quality not so great but lucky me , my new sony TV bravia has the technology to make the quality clearer and better too. my previous tv able to see more pixel. Sony helps a bit.

Whats the different compares to himedia player ? show us your . I c u have quite a lot of channels too and pretty complete . The plus point probably your T vB channels and HD channels. For english, xbmc could do the trick for free too . Maybe you can share the videos here . Thanks

I bought it from a local online store. The brand is Mele. The price is slightly expensive than normal Android box but I find it very worthwhile to get. Previously I had been using 2 Android TV boxes, this is the 3rd box I bought. So far this box delivers the maximum entertainment and satisfaction to me... With Unifi + this karaoke Android Box at home, nowadays I don't have to go out KTV to have the same enjoyment. I strongly recommend those who want to buy new Android box to consider this model.

Yeah pls share out. Too many sellers with very poor services to diagnose some of the problems. Even good samaritan like avfan is busy responding to sellers customersr. A lot of minions need help especially when many of the players were made in china.

Many sellers from different brands claimed its good but lack of testimonials, some using dupe account to respond as customers. Sometimes its like the movie internal affairs business . What they forget to tell u, get a good router and take mandarin tuition, .

mele is not new and is among the more popular brands. if new model with new features, please share as much as u can - from a user's perspective. website, links to ads, video demo, etc. r useful. just don't do hard hard sell in this user thread as it is mainly meant for user comments; sellers have their own threads!

i started with zero knowledge 9 months ago. read a bit at lyn, initial help from seller, more help from a user-fren. then, tens of hours of experimenting and trying...!! not only the android, but closely related like unifi, router, hypptv, media players. i try to share as much as i can - more so when i see some users struggle like i did before. but only for the brands/models i know and use.

i think the main reason for some sellers not showing up after a sale is the price and profit of the machine. at rm300-400, the profit is probably rm50-60 per unit. unlikely a seller can justify spending more time and effort in aftersales, except those who believe in repeat purchases or word of mouth advertising - to whom i salute and say .

thanks to alexlim, azdrama need not be watched from browser!
i just tried csplayer. it is bigger than i initially thought; it is better than i expected.
bigger than cloudtv, easier to handle than xbmc.
it's leaned towards asian stuff but can find many western sites and tv channels.
video is mostly 240/360 flv or mp4, with a minority in 480/720.

not just azdrama, there r other similar asian domains - some with choice of chinese/eng subs, choice of mandarin/canto/eng audio
not all of them work, as u can expect but much easier to navigate.

i did read about inconsistency of xbmc and a lot of problems in the forum but there's one device with xbmc hardware decoding call Minix should be quite stable because they incorporated in the media player. i don't owned minix but it claimed so . how much does it cost for just subscription?

i think it is true that some devices, be it android or other based, are built with xbmc in mind, chipsets supported by xbmc, so should be smoother n less troublesome. xbmc is a non profit org, free for all to use, add, build, modify, whatever.

but justinlo i think is talking about his iptv package via some vpn for any android, nothing to do with xbmc.
paid iptv packages r expected to be via vpn for stability n smooth streaming, if not why pay?
the only thing besides cost is whether it will stay that way over time, how legit issues will affect performance, etc.

Thanks justin, the xbmc video sourced in certain media player were decode using software thus stability is an issue . Well , it seems that some sellers has high regards for the latest minix x8h for their hardware decoding which provides better output due to faster processor now. So my guess is that the old issues on poor performance or stability might be just a history.

We just have to wait for someone neutral to lavish out the truth , if its true than its a big leap here because so far i hardly read any testimonial of it yet.
