I can confirm that the latest EPG update has finally enabled the HDMI port on my friend's decoder, resulting in better picture quality and sharper text compared to standard composite output.

However, I haven't received the update yet on my Beyond decoder. hmm.gif In retrospect, I think it is most likely because I usually switch off the decoder completely when I'm not watching Astro instead of leaving it on standby. I reckon I should start leaving the decoder on standby now so that it can download the update.

Since it's my friend's decoder that has already received the update, I can't snap a picture for you right now. I'll try and see if I can snap a photo if I go to his place this weekend. But anyway, the photo would the same as the ones Chokia posted in the previous page as they're using the same EPG interface.

Yes, I've checked, only one single HDMI (capable of carrying both digital video and audio signals). No composite red, white and yellow cable required. Much more elegant and less cable clutter rclxms.gif

You can just use back your old decoder and old smart card. Just go to the reactivation page and choose:

Haha. Frequent rain disrupting satellite TV reception over there but at least you guys have water supply. The situation is terrible in Selangor whereby we can watch Astro without issues but dry taps are giving us a much bigger problem. sad.gif

I tried but it keeps update to the same old software. Hoping to use HDMI on it.

Hmm. No luck on my side too. Not sure about this but I think the update is probably rolled out to subscribers gradually?

Which of the following decoder are you using?

Just pay one time payment of Rm328(used older decoder) or Rm428(new latest decoder) to Astro.
Inclusive of dish installation. Contact Astro Njoi to install.

As what qiyi has mentioned above, you only need to pay Astro a one time fee of either RM328 (for a refurbished decoder) or RM428 (for a new decoder) and you can enjoy the NJOI service forever. The fee also includes the installation of the satellite dish by their technician.

To apply, you can submit your details on the following site and wait for their customer service representative to contact you: https://www.astro.com.my/tools/iwantnjoi.html

Otherwise, if you don't wait to wait, you can directly call them yourself at 03-9543 8100 (8am -12 midnight)
