Just converted astro byond DMT 4 decoder to NJOI.....

But only RCA cable working... if plug in HDMI all blue screen.... any advice how to enable HDMI ? previously using astro byond HD using same HDMI cable no issue...

You'll have to leave your decoder on standby and hope that it will receive the new update. Some NJOI users have already received it while others haven't: http://www.lowyat.net/2014/02/astro-to-dep...24-feb-onwards/

Once you see the new interface, you will be able to use the HDMI display port at the back of the decoder. smile.gif

Try to use this link to activate your account http://www.astro.com.my/njoi/activate/index.aspx

I activated my dormant decoder without calling the hotline.

May I know which Astro office you went to or which staff you spoke to? I could try asking my friend to check.

Hmm. No luck on my side too. Not sure about this but I think the update is probably rolled out to subscribers gradually?

Which of the following decoder are you using?

My own is the dm4 ( no pvr). That one can update. My parents one is the dm5 ( no pvr), this one cannot update. Urs?

Hi all.

I am now subscribing to Astro (with BYond decoder).
Account still active.

Should I choose to terminate this account, and subscribe to NJoi, will I enjoy the FREE subscription thingy ?

if your byond contract period has ended, you can ask for njoi conversion which may cost you RM99, ask astro centre to make sure

instead if you cancel astro subscribtion and get njoi anew, you will need to pay RM228 for a Refurbished DMT Box, or RM328 for a new box, + RM100 installation

Alright guys,
In terms of payment, how much do I need to pay?

Scenario :
Active Astro account (wish to terminate)
Decoder and dish both HD-capable.

It's free. There are no monthly fees necessary for the free channels.

^ Thanks guys!

Seriously, that is wicked! I mean, a one-off payment,
and subsequently, it is all free!

May I still continue to use the HDMI cable,
or would I need to get meself a composite cable?

for njoi, byond box updated with the latest firmware may have its HDMI port re-enabled
