Sigh, was meaning to terminate my Astro, and subscribe NJoi.
Only to find out that my contract has not lapsed.

does the conversion fee rm 99 come with any free rm 40 prepaid voucher?
i asked last few days, and the njoi customer service says it binds together. how true is this?

Their FAQ states that new NJOI users will get the RM40 voucher but there's no indication on whether users who converted from their PayTV service will get the vouchers as well hmm.gif

after convert to njoi, is it using the same old sim card, or will get a new njoi card?

That is indeed weird. Most people here are able to use HDMI without any issues after the update. Is the resolution supported by TV that is connected to your decoder?

You'll be using the same old smart card. If the smart card is faulty or you've lost it, you can request for a new one.

That's correct. The EPF interface will look sharper with HDMI compared to composite / component cable. Video quality, however, will still be in standard definition (SD).

As far as I know, the NJOI service is tied both the smart card and the decoder. I.e. you can't use one without the other.

I've tried using the NJOI smart card in my friend's Astro PayTV decoder but it didn't work. There was a message on the TV asking me to "insert the correct Astro smart card". Likewise, I've tried doing the opposite by using my friend's PayTV smart card in my NJOI decoder and it didn't work either.

You can switch smart cards for Non-Beyond decoders. For beyond decoders you can't. They have locked it down because they want you to subscribe multiroom.

Try using other HDMI ports and use other devices to try out.
Try other cables also.
