cant see any 'legends' at the box for set 6285.. it was release in 1989

it was re-release as set 10040 in 2002 and yes can see the work legend in front of the box

I wonder why the inside view of the box shows a ship with black & white sails instead of red & white? 

If you ask me, I prefer 6243 Blackbeard's Bounty which looks more realistic. I guess designer for 6243 had more variety of parts to use, compared to 6285 which was released 20 years earlier.
